Ethan and Grayson come and hug me.

"Come on, let's head back. we'll be late for third."

I forgot that I had English next.

I nod.

Grayson pays the bill and I thank him.

~30 minutes later~

I am in English class and we're reading 'A Walk to Remember'. It's a cute story about how a popular high school senior falls in love with a girl whom him and his friends used to pick on. Today is a Wednesday so Ms. Steins has us read all period long. It goes by quite fast as I really am enjoying this story.

The bell rings and I head on to french.

"Ooh... La Pantalone de Mere est arrive!" Meredith smirks as I walk in the room.

Great.

I start off my day with her, and I finish it off as well.

I smile and sit completely far away from her.

"Bonsoir mes amis!" A young man walks in with rather tight clothing for a teacher.

"OH LALA! QUE BELLE ETUDIANTE!" He says facing me.

Huh?

"Psst... he said you're a pretty student." A girl next to me whispers.

She has a familiar face, but I don't know to whom.

"Oh, thanks!"

"I'm Cam." she whispers

"I'm Andrea, nice to meet you Cam."

"Cam! Stop talking to her! First your brother, and now you too?" Meredith says.

Brother? Huh?

"S'il vous plait! Asseyez vous!" The teacher says.

What the heck did I just walk myself into.

I don't understand a thing.

Apparently Meredith is a pro at this French stuff. I just sat back and listened.

He says something that I later understand to mean I'm pairing you up and you have to have a conversation in French with them.

I get up as he calls my name.

"Meredith." He says.

MEREDITH

Out of all people.

Meredith.

She smiles walking towards me.

"It's on mom jeans." She whispers.

It's on? This isn't even a competition?

She starts talking to me not even giving me time to respond.

I am completely lost and just stand there staring at her.

After a good 15 minutes, Mr. Dillon tells us to sit down.

"You didn't even let me say anything." I tell her.

"What were you even going to say? Did you even understand a single word I said? You should be thanking me, mom jeans." She flips her hair and walks towards her desk.

She was right.

Mr. Dillon's phone rings and he jumps in shock. He seemed to have forgotten to turn off his phone.

"Pardon-moi!" He says picking up the phone.

Everyone laughs at his ringtone.

California Girls?

Really?

After he hangs up, he seems to start texting.

"J'ai envoye un texto. Il est ton devoir." Mr. Dillon says as the bell rings.

"Go get his number." Cam says, and runs towards Meredith.

Get the teacher's number? Is she insane?

"Miss Russett." He calls me to his desk.

"Yes Mr. Dillon."

"Monsieur, please." He laughs, his eyes meeting mine.

They were beautiful. Sweet. Pure.

"I'm going to need your number," He says breaking the silence.

"I-um... My-Number?" I choke.

"Yes, I send out information, homework, pretty much everything through text." He says smiling.

"Oh! Um, sure." I am embarrassed.

I give him my number.

"Au revoir!" he says, and I'm out the door.

I can't stop thinking about Kai.

What made her all of a sudden change?

She was never like this.

When did she start acting so different?

When did she get so strange.

When did she get so secluded.

When did she get so, cold.
