"ANDREA WHAT HAPPENED?" Ethan insisted.
I couldn't talk
I couldn't think
Even if I wanted to
Which I didn't
I didn't want to think about anything
I wanted to forget
Forget about everyone
Everything
I wanted to be numb
Ethan had calmed me down and laid me on the bed, his arms still holding me tight.
He had fallen asleep beside me.
But I couldn't.
I looked at my phone, laying on the nightstand beside me, and checked the time.
3:08AM.
I needed to find out what was going on.
No one was going to come up to me and tell me, so I needed to do this for myself.
I gently moved Ethan's arm from around my waist, and slipped out.
I walked down the cold hallway on my tiptoes.
I silently twisted Hailey's bedroom doorknob and slid in.
I searched the room until I found it, laying in plain sight.
Hailey's cell phone.
I grabbed it and gently unplugged it from her charger.
I tiptoed out of her room and closed the door gently.
I turned around to find a familiar face.
"What are you doing?"
