Warning: Self Harm

Before I knew it, the papers had been signed, my stuff had been packed, and I was in Jensen's car on the way to my new home.

It took about an hour to get there. I didn't even realize I had lived so close to him.

We pulled up to the driveway and I was shocked at the house. It was so beautiful. And huge. It had to cost millions. But, then again that was probably not even denting his bank account. I can only imagine how much he gets paid to be on Supernatural.

Once he had parked the car, I kinda just sat there. I was nervous. This was a whole new place with new people. I would have to meet his wife, my new mother, as well as their child. I would have to get used to the house as well as the area. There would be new rules to follow. I would probably be all over the news. "Jensen Ackles Adopts Thirteen Year Old Whose Family Was Murdered" I would be thrust into the spotlight. I would be old enough for people to expect things out of me. I would be watched and pictures would be taken of me. My twitter account would probably blow up. I would have to constantly monitor what I was doing. So much was going to change.

I felt Jensen's hand slip into mine, effectively cutting off my thought.

"Bella. Everything is going to be okay. Danneel has taken Justice out, per my request, so you could get used to the house. You will meet them later and they will both welcome you with open arms. We will help you get through this. We will help you adjust."

I nodded, still nervous, but knowing that it would be just us for a little eased it slightly.

We got out of the car and he showed me into the house.

He gave me a tour of the house. The kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and all of the bedrooms. The last room he showed me was to be my room.

"For now, we're gonna have you stay in the guest room. We are going to take everything out of this room and we're going to have you decorate it with everything you want. You can choose the wall color, decorate the walls however you want. I'm going to take you shopping. You can get whatever furniture you want. You can pick out a bed, desk, and anything you want to decorate with. Once you and Danneel get to know each other, she is going to take you shopping and get you everything you need. Clothes, whatever hygiene stuff you need, and anything else you want. Do you have a phone?"

I shook my head no, my mom hadn't believed that I needed one yet, I was using my sister's at the convention. The police confiscated it for evidence.

"Okay, well, Danneel and I have agreed that you are old enough to have one and you are going to need one in case of emergency."

As he was telling me all of this he had led me back down to the living room. He sat on the couch so I did as well. That's when he turned to me. So far he had seemed happy and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Now, he was serious.

"Okay, I need to talk to you about everything I just said. We are only doing all of this so you will be comfortable. Danneel and I know that this transition is going to be hard. We thought that it would be best to let you choose what you want because we thought that it would be easier on you. However, after all of this is done, we will not buy you everything you ask for. We will not spoil you. We will buy the things that you need and from there we will buy you things that we think you deserve and stuff like that. I'm not trying to be harsh, but you have to understand that."

"Yeah, of course. If you remember, my family was really pretty poor. I'm not used to getting all of that stuff. I'm not used to getting everything I want. I wasn't raised like that."

His smile was instant and he nodded in approval. He got up and I did as well.

"Now, let's show you the backyard."

We walked out of the back door onto a patio and it was beautiful. There was a huge pool that I knew I would spend a lot of time in and a nice yard. There were also plants all over the place.

After that, we had gone back inside and I was left alone in the guest room to get used to it. Jensen said he was going to bring all of my stuff inside.

That's when the nervousness and excitement washed away and the darkness set back in.

I didn't deserve this.

I should've been dead.

I should've died alongside them.

As I looked out of the window into the backyard and at the pool tears streamed down my face. Looking outside just spurred me on.

Why was I here?

Why was I alive?

I pulled the pocket knife out of my pocket and stared at it. It had been the first thing that I grabbed. I had slipped it into my pocket before starting to pack.

I walked into the bathroom connected to the room and stared at myself in the mirror. I stepped over to the farthest wall and continued where I left off earlier today. The pain erased leaving comfort and relief as the emotional pain faded away, as did the tears.

Once the bleeding stopped, I cleaned up my arm and the blade before walking back into the room. I sat at the window seat and stared out of the window once again.
