A Reason to Live (Jensen Ackles)

Chapter 8

I don't know how long I was sat there before I heard a knock at the door. 

"Yeah?" 

Jensen walked in, softly closed the door behind him, and joined me on the window seat. 

"Danneel and the kids are here. They'd really like to meet you." 

I nodded nervously before standing up. 

"Don't be nervous. I know that Danneel will love you and Justice is too young to not like you." 

I nodded once again, a little less nervous this time. I followed Jensen down to the living room, hiding behind him a little. 

Once we reached the living room, I was introduced to Danneel. She said hi to me before hugging me gently, like I would break if she hugged any tighter. 

Then I was introduced to their little girl, Justice. She looked up at her dad with a questioning look on her face. 

"Does this mean I'm gonna have an older sister now?" 

My hand covered my mouth in shock and tears came to my eyes. 

Jensen nodded and she screamed happily. She looked back to me before walking over. She hugged my legs as she looked up at me. 

"Sissy, please don't cry." 

I bent down and returned the hug, trying to contain the tears. 

Danneel said she was going to make something for dinner. I told them that I was going to go and unpack some of my stuff. 

I had actually unpacked some of my stuff before taking my place back at the window and staring at it. 

Sometime when the introductions were happening the sun had started to set and the sky was a beautiful shade of orange. I watched as the sun slowly set in the distance. 

There was another knock on the door, but this time it was Danneel who walked in. 

"Hey, Bella, I'm finished making dinner." 

"Oh, okay. Do you mind if I skip out today? I'm not really hungry." 

She looked a little sad at my response, but nodded anyway. She left, but not before telling me that she would save me some food if I got hungry later. 

I stayed in my room for the rest of the night and no one else had come in. When the sun was set and I was finally tried, I changed into my pj's and crawled into the large bed, trying to sleep.
