2 Weeks Later
Today was the day.
I was heading to Vancouver with my dad to watch the first week of the filming of Supernatural.
To say I was excited was an understatement.
The last time I was this excited was when I was going to the Supernatural convention.
Jensen and I were leaving a couple days earlier so he could show me around Vancouver. Then, I would spend the next five days going to set with Jensen and finally, we would both go back home for the weekend. He would, of course, fly back to Vancouver for the next week of filming. He would just stay in Vancouver, but no one wanted me to fly home alone.
"Anything can happen," Jensen had said.
I didn't argue. I knew that I didn't want to come back alone. The thought alone scared me.
I had trouble sleeping because I was so excited.
I woke up before my alarm could even go off.
I changed into a comfortable, but stylish outfit. I knew the flight wasn't going to be long, but it wasn't going to be short either. According to Jensen, the flight took about four and a half hours, if everything went as planned.
I went downstairs and grabbed everything for cereal and made myself a bowl.
We had discussed all of the plans earlier in the week. Since Jensen and I had to be up earlier than usual, we decided to just have cereal for breakfast because Danneel wanted to make us breakfast but we didn't want her to have to wake up earlier. It was easier too.
By the time I had finished making my bowl and sat down at the table, Jensen came down the stairs looking extremely drowsy. He immediately went to the coffee pot and poured himself a cup. He sat down at the table before making himself a bowl and eating.
Neither of us spoke.
He was too tired and I was too busy thinking of what was to come.
Once I was done, I headed upstairs to make sure I had everything packed. Jensen still needed to get dressed so I took my time.
Once I was absolutely, positively sure that I had everything, I headed back down the stairs with my stuff.
I was almost shaking from excitement.
I mean, who wouldn't?
I was going to be on the set of Supernatural for five whole days. I would get to see almost an entire episode of Supernatural get filmed. I would get to spend time with most of the cast and I would get to see what it was like behind the camera. This was going to be one incredible week. I just hoped that I wouldn't do something stupid and make a fool out of myself.
Minutes later I heard Jensen's steps coming down the stairs. His stuff was in his hands and he started toward the door, motioning for me to follow.
We called for a cab to come and take us to the airport.
When we arrived, I immediately began to get nervous. I had never flown before, ever, so it was natural to be nervous. I wasn't really afraid of heights, but it was something new, and new, was scary.
We went through all of the steps to get to the plane. I had no idea what we were doing, but I just did what Jensen did.
Once we got through all of the steps, we were escorted to a private room. I mean, we couldn't just sit out there in the open. I would rather not be ambushed by a bunch of fans or attacked by someone who decided they didn't like one of us.
Jensen sat in a chair and looked at his phone.
Me on the other hand?
I paced around the room nervously, trying to think about everything but the upcoming flight.
Finally, after about ten minutes of me pacing, Jensen put his phone down and looked up at me.
"What's wrong, sweetheart? Why are you so nervous?"
I stopped pacing, settling my hands on my waist.
"I-I-I've never flown before."
I heard him try to stifle a laugh and I shot him my best bitch face. Something I picked up from watching Supernatural. He immediately shut up and tried to look serious.
"Did Jared teach you that one too?"
I smiled smugly, proud that it worked.
"No, actually. I picked that one up from just watching Supernatural."
He smiled. I guess he liked that I was a total fangirl about Supernatural.
I finally stopped pacing and sat in the seat next to him. He reached over and ruffled my hair.
"It's natural to be nervous your first time flying. I was nervous too, but there's nothing to be scared of. I've flown so many times, I've lost count and I'm perfectly fine. In fact, I'm sure you'll love it."
I nodded, still trying to fix my hair.
It wasn't much later when our flight was called on we got on.
I kept replaying his words in my head and I was considerably less nervous than before. Of course, it wasn't all gone, but that was to be expected.
Jensen forced me to take the window seat telling me that he knew I would love it. But he also said that if we took out and I was still uncomfortable he would switch me places when he could.
We waited until it was time for the plane to take off. Jensen continued to do stuff on his phone while I looked around at everything. I wanted the full experience. I wanted to see everything.
Before I knew it we were listening to all of the directions and I followed, asking questions in my head as I listened. I heard the engines turn on and my nervousness immediately rose again. The plane started to run down the runway and I gripped the armrests tightly.
I saw Jensen out of the corner of my eye trying not to laugh.
Soon, we were flying up into the sky.
The liftoff was a little rough and scared me, but once we were in the air, I was mesmerized.
It didn't feel any weirder than riding in a car.
I looked out of the window to the ground and everything beneath us slowly got smaller as we rose into the sky.
Once we got up to the clouds, I was sure that my jaw had fallen open. It was so beautiful. I could never imagine anything like it.
I stared out of the window the entire flight. It was just so captivating that I found myself unable to turn away.
Four and a half hours later, we landed.
