I entered the courtyard, seeing tens of people walking around with different objects in their hands. Some ornaments and decorations, others food. The railings were covered in an array of colourful hanging decorations. I glanced up, seeing Klaus on the balcony near the stairs, watching over it all.
I sighed, "We were heading out and now were throwing a party?"
"One that will be attended by New Orleans' most influential creatures." Klaus replied.
I furrowed my brows, "You do realise that everyone hates us?"
"But they love Marcel." Klaus said, "And as the invite states he is the cohost. Tonight we celebrate our truce."
I grinned a little in humour, "So, you're throwing a fake party in honor of a fake truce and your guest of honor is in a dungeon."
After Marcel and I's fight, Elijah and Klaus had taken him to the dungeon he had kept Klaus in for five years, which Freya and I then cloaked.
Klaus made his way down the stairs, "Marcel's attendance would only complicate matters. Besides, I'll have my hands full, weeding out those in league with the Hollow."
"Right, the thing that seems to still be inside of me." I said, unamused.
"And we will find a way to get it out." Klaus replied, "Along with disposing it's followers or whatever they are."
I bit the inside of my cheek anxiously. I knew the Hollow was practically unkillable. I'd tried in 1953. I even spent years trying to find a witch to get a spell or some solution to kill it, but found nothing.
Klaus moved closer to me. He tilted his head in concern, "What's wrong?"
"I just -- " I cut myself off, "Hope and Theo are with Mary. I'll stay for the party, try to help."
"Are you sure?" Klaus asked.
I looked at him curiously, "You didn't say no?"
"I've known you for fifteen years, Cassie. I think I know by know that you don't take no for an answer." He replied.
I let out a soft giggle, a large grin stretching across my face as I stared up at him, "Yes. I'm sure."

There were many people in the courtyard, drinks in hands, chattering away. I was standing with Josh, who accepted my invitation which I was thankful for. I had missed him. Elijah's voice bellowed down on us all, causing us to glance up at him high above us, with Klaus behind him.
"My dear friends." He began, "Tonight we celebrate an alliance between our family and Marcel Gerard. Unfortunately, as is his custom, Marcel is unfashionably late. So, until such a time as he graces us with his presence, let us all raise a glass and salute the glorious city of New Orleans."
