The air felt cold as I headed down the stairs, it brushed against the bare skin of my chest and neck, raising the goosebumps. I had just gave Theo his breakfast in Klaus' bedroom, he told me he felt more comfortable there for some reason.

Hope and Hayley were stood beside the table that had the mouth bone piece Hayley had found on. It was weird to look at. It kept moving around on its own in the small boundary spell surrounding it.

"What did you hear?" Hayley asked Hope, knelt infront of her.

"Voices." Hope responded, "They said we're connected to this. You and me."

I could feel Klaus enter the room as I reached the bottom step, obviously hearing the conversation. He frowned down at the bone on the table, "If this fossil has been whispering lies, I'll gladly throw it in the river."

Hope turned to face him, shaking her head, "No. Not the bone. The witches."

The voices started to mumble around me. My eyes widened, what I could hear wasn't possible. Kol had told everyone that Davina destroy them when she died. I looked to Klaus.

"The Ancestors." I moved closer to the three, "They have a message. A warning."

"And what is this warning?" Klaus asked as Hayley waited anxiously, holding onto Hope.

I listened to their voices, glancing at them, "They said to go to St. Anne's Church to talk to them. They said we have to do exactly what they say, and we have to do it now."

"Before the Hollow comes for us." Hope added, a part I kind of wanted to leave out because this monster was something I wanted to avoid saying out loud.

"You need to relax, I'm on my way to New Orleans right now, and I have good news. I went through the remains of the Lockwood estate and I found you one creepy-ass ancient finger bone." I could hear Alaric's voice through the phone.

"Your efforts are appreciated." Klaus frowned, "Now if you could only pick up the pace."

"Easy, Klaus." He replied, "The only reason I'm heading your way is because I don't want you anywhere near Mystic Falls. Things tend to get murder-y when you're around."

Klaus smirked, "Well, if you don't get here soon, 'tend to' turns to 'will'."

I snatched the phone from his hand, "Hey, hey. Cool it, let me talk to him before you rip his head off." I pressed the phone to my ear, "Hey, Ric, it's Cassie. Don't listen to big mouth, just get here when you can."

"It's good to hear your voice after so long." Alaric said as Klaus scoffed at me calling him 'big mouth'.

"Yours too." I replied. I hadn't seen him since Stefan's funeral, which was tough.

"How are you doing?" He asked.

"You can chit-chat another time -- " Klaus tried to grab the phone back from me but I held my arm out, turning my back to him. Klaus moved back and I turned back to face him just as he rolled his eyes.
