▂▂▂▂

I was sat in the living room, staring at a picture of Hayley's parents holding her as a baby. There were tons of boxes all over the room. She had found out that the Hollow's followers were responsible for her parents death and discovered a key that belonged to a storage unit, containing all of their belongings.

I glanced up, looking towards the doorway as I felt Klaus' presence, "I found Hope and Theo exploring the rubbish in the attic. They seem restless."

I put down the picture on the small pile of others infront, "They're not restless, they're bored. Most kids their age would be at school. They'd have friends to play with. They're two years apart and different genders with different interests. They've been stuck together their whole lives, they need other kids to play with."

"Well, once Freya teaches Hope to hone her magic, she'll be powerful beyond measures." Klaus replied, heading to the open window, "She won't need friends, she'll be worshipped."

"I'm pretty sure all Hope wants is for someone to hold the other end of the jump rope." I told him.

"She will have power, enough to protect herself from anything." He held his hand out the window, pressing it against the invisible barrier, "We won't have to trap her in bloody boundary spells just to keep her safe."

"And what about Theo? And his magic?" I questioned, curious to his thoughts.

Klaus began to walk back towards me, "He has you to teach him."

"He's five with a psychic ability, Klaus, I cant help him with that." I replied, sighing deeply before an idea came into my head, "But I think I know someone who can."

"And who exactly would that be?" Klaus asked.

"Caroline and Alaric." I replied, "Remember them?"

He nodded once, "Ah yes, the guy you use to drown your sorrows in alcohol with."

"And the girl you had a slight crush on..."

He rolled his eyes before looking back to me with a grin, "You know, the jealousy looks good on you but you should know I never liked her in that way."

I cocked an eyebrow, "Oh really? Well then, that explains the bar flirting and the dancing at the ball."

Klaus narrowed his eyes at me, moving closer, "One of those times you were with Kol and the other Elijah, and had no knowledge of ever being in love with me. Care to explain the interest of those moments?"

A smile grew on my face that I couldn't stop, as I averted my gaze from his. I let out a quiet embarassed laugh, knowing he knew what it meant, "Shut up."

"Cassie, did you fancy me?" He questioned, a smirk stretching on his face as I looked back towards him.

The smile on my face wouldn't go away, as for some reason I felt my cheeks burning, "No, I just thought... you were... attractive."

Klaus' body language became cocky at what I had just said, "So, even when your memory of ever loving me got wiped, you still -- "

I interupted him, " -- yes, to add to your ever-growing ego. I shouldn't have, but I fancied you from the moment I saw you." I began to sort through the boxes again to change the subject, "Okay, while you're here, Hayley said she wanted me too sort through this stuff, so, you can help."
