A flash of blue moved past my eyes. I blinked harshly, wondering what it was. I felt like I couldn't move my body, but I could see infront of me. The room was dark, I noticed it looked wooden, the walls, the floor boards, the chairs. My eyes moved as my body turned and glanced to the floor. I saw Elijah, quivvering in pain on the ground.

I gasped loudly in fright, my body shooting up into a sitting position and my eyes opening. I quickly glanced to my left to see the space beside me was empty. I turned to the bedside table, picking up my phone to see the time. It was 9am.

I threw the duvet off, rushing to my wardrobe to change clothes, which I quickly did. I listened for any movement or voices in the compound, hearing Klaus' from afar, "Because there was a time when we were regarded as royalty."

I pulled a jumper over my head and made my way out into the hallway, hearing Klaus continue, "You might even go so far as to say I was King, which would make you a princess. And you... a prince."

Hayley came out from the upstairs living room, almost colliding with me. She moved back, "Hey, Cassie. Have you seen Elijah?"

I shook my head, taking in a slight breath at the mention of his name, "No."

"It's just, he went to Marcel's last night and never came back... and he isn't answering his phone." Hayley stressed.

I furrowed my brows, because I was certain my dream was a dream, "Maybe he just left early to run some errands?"

Hayley crossed her arms, shrugging, the worry radiating off of her, "I don't know I have a bad feeling."

"I'll ask Klaus." I told her.

"Thank you." She replied before heading back into the living room.

I made my way down the stairs, seeing a large table full of piled high pastries. Theo was shoving one in his face as Hope sat on a wooden chair, Klaus stood facing them.

"Good morning." I said as I walked over to them. I looked down to Theo, seeing the juice of the apple turnover all over his mouth and chin, "I guess apple turnover is technically fruit."

"Well, I saw no harm in indulging their sweet tooth." Klaus grinned as I wiped my thumb over Theo's chin to clean it, "All things in moderation, of course."

I pressed a kiss to the top of Theo's head looking between him and Hope, "Don't eat too many, you'll get a stomach ache." I glanced up to Klaus, "Can we talk?"

He gave me a curious look before I moved away from the two children and towards the hallway. I turned to face Klaus, who had followed, "What's wrong?"

"Have you seen Elijah?" I asked him.

"I thought he was with Hayley." Klaus replied, concern in his voice.

I let out a deep sigh, "Hayley told me he left for Marcel's last night and she hasn't seen him since. And..."

Klaus' brows furrowed in the centre of his forehead, "And what?"

"I can feel... something." I told him. I let out a deep breath, "Something's wrong."
