A sudden noise caused me to wake. My eyes flew open, adjusting to the brightness of the room. The sunlight was beaming in through the open curtains. My gaze dropped to the empty space beside me, Klaus was no longer there.

I frowned and turned my upper body to look over at Theo but he was gone too. I pushed myself into a sitting position in worry before noticing a curled up Theo on the end of the bed. A sigh of relief escaped my lips before shaking my head and smiling. Honestly, I didn't understand why he felt comfortable sleeping at the end of the bed.

The sound of the door opening made my head whip to look at who was entering. Klaus made his way into the room, holding a tray. He walked towards me with a grin on his face.

"Morning." He greeted, bending down to place a kiss on my forehead.

I smiled back at him before looking to the tray, "What's all this?"

"Don't tell me you've never heard of breakfast in bed?" He jokingly questioned as he placed the tray beside me. There were two plates, one with pancakes and another with a piling of bacon, eggs and toast. There was also a glass of blood and then a small beaker of orange juice, which I presumed was for Theo.

My eyes flickered up to meet his, "And who did you compel this time?"

"Gordon Ramsey." He smirked.

"Ha ha." I narrowed my eyes at him. I picked up a rasher on bacon, "It's a good job I'm too hungry to care right now."

I bit into the bacon as Klaus' gaze wandered towards our son. He stared at him curiously, "Has he always done that?"

I glanced towards Theo, "Only in the past few months." I took another bite of bacon, "Kind of reminds me of the movies where the dog curls up on... the end of the... bed."

My words began to trail off as something came into mind. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Klaus sit on the chair beside the bed, "Something wrong?"

I shifted slightly to face him. He sat with a curious look, his fingers interwined between the space of his legs, "Dogs sleep at the end of the beds because they believe the Alpha should have the best spot."

Klaus furrowed his brows, "And where are you going with this?"

"Klaus," My legs swung around so I was fully facing him. My legs almost between his, "He's constantly trying to play in mud. He instantly senses when somethings wrong. His energy level is equivelant to yours. His werewolf gene. It's... pushing through."

Klaus blinked harshly as though in disbelief. He straightened his back, looking towards Theo before back at me, "Is that possible?"

"I think anything is possible." I told him, letting out a deep breath, "Theo has so many supernatural genes running through him, we have no clue what is going to happen." I looked towards my son, "But whatever does, we will protect him. Keep him safe."

"Always." Klaus responded. I let out a concerned sigh as I continued to stare at Theo, his pink lips parting in a gentle snore.

My feet carried me in the direction of Elijah's study, in hopes the he was in there. Klaus had told me that his soul had been put back into his body and he was revived. A second later I didn't need to hope much because the sound of things crashing and breaking onto the floor made it clear someone was in there.
