I woke before everyone else the next morning. The storm had disappeared overnight but the sky was still heavy with plump grey clouds. I showered, dressed, then brushed my hair and teeth before going down to breakfast.

Few students milled about in the Great Hall, most chatting quietly or resting their heads on the tables. Teachers roamed around the room, handing out schedules and answering questions. A few nervous looking first years and two fifth years occupied Gryffindor table. I sat down a little ways away from them and began putting food on the empty plate in front of me.

"Miss L/n?"

I turn my head and find Professor McGonagall looking over the top of her glasses at me. She hold a long list in one hand and a shorter scroll in the other.

"Yes, Professor?" I reply.

"Here is your schedule. I am very pleased that you have decided to take N.E.W.T. level classes. I was very pleased with your O.W.L.'s." She smiled thinly and held out the scroll.

"Thank you Professor," I smiled while taking the schedule.

She nodded before turning and walking towards the first years. I put the parchment down and continued eating. The hall gradually began to fill, and after about ten minutes the twins and Lee walked in.

Fred sat next to me while Lee and George sat across the table.

"Morning," George grumbled before pouring pumpkin juice onto his plate. The orange liquid quickly spread across the table before he realized what he did and stopped pouring it.

"George!" I exclaimed while piling napkins onto the soaked tablecloth. He didn't respond, he was now staring at his plate intensely. I looked closely at George and Lee. Lee was now sleeping on his plate. They both had dark circles under their eyes.

I jumped a bit when something hit my shoulder. Fred had nodded off as well and was resting peacefully on me. I tried to shrug him off but he didn't budge.

I could be a kind, caring friend and let them sleep awhile longer...or not.

I took a jug of water and pondered my next move. George had finally lost the staring contest with his plate and was now resting on the newly orange tablecloth.

"Freddie...Freddie. You might want to wake up now," I said in a sing-song voice. No response.

With a shrug I picked up the container and tipped its contents onto his head.

He gasped and jolted up, losing balance and falling backwards off the bench. Snickering could be heard as people watched the scene unfold. I simply smiled before watching the jug magically refill itself. But before I could pour it on Lee, it was taken from my hands. I looked to Fred with wide eyes before cold water rained over my head. I gasped and leap out of my seat while glaring at him. He gave me a cheeky grin before bolting out the doors of the hall.

George and Lee were now wide awake and laughing hysterically. I glared at them while taking out my wand and murmuring a quick drying spell. I sat back down on the bench and cleared the water from the table.

"Why were you all up so late last night?" I asked.

"Erm-we weren't?" Lee's answer came out as a question.

I rolled my eyes, "Let me guess, trying to figure out how to enter the tournament?"

They both looked down.
