----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Readers Pov
"...And that's why your last potion exploded," I rubbed my temple as I explained to Seamus that he had stirred his potion twice clockwise, not twice counterclockwise.
"You're a lifesaver, Y/n," He said gratefully as he dumped his books back into his bad.
"I know, I know. Just pay more attention, yeah? And actually read the instructions?"
"You got it," he grinned before running off.
I put my head on the library table and yawned.
"My turn now, yes?" A thick accented voice asked.
"Sebastian," I smiled and lifted up my head.
He placed a stack of books and his book bag on the table before sitting down across from me. He dug around in his bag for a second before handing me a perfectly smooth piece of parchment.
I read it, noting the neat handwriting and lack of spelling errors- the opposite of Fred's usual essays.
"I'm very impressed actually," I admit. "You've got a grammatical error here," I tap my wand on the parchment and it fixes itself, "And you've confused Ehwaz an Eihwaz. Eihwaz means defense, not partnership. Simple mistake but it will cost you if it went unnoticed."
He took back the paper and read over his mistakes, "Ah, I see now."
He put the parchment back in his bag and opened one of the books. He thumbed through the pages before finding one and sliding it towards me, "These- I don't even know what I am seeing. Do you understand these?"
I looked over the ancient symbols. They were symbols for numbers.
"This one here- Yeah, that one, is a Demiguise. Now, Demiguise' have the ability to turn invisible so they stand for the number zero."
He scribbled a quick drawing of the symbol on a clean piece of parchment and a few words next to it. I explained the rest of the numbers, Sebastian scribbling notes all the while.
I had just finished explaining how the Fwooper stands for the number four (due to the four different colors that adorn its feathers) when a loud explosion sounded towards the front of the library.
Madam Pince, who had been lurking nearby in the shelves, let out an awful shriek when she saw several books levitating in the air above the area. A thick, royal purple colored smoke drifted slowly across the floor of the library.
"Vhat ez it?" Sebastian stood quickly, knocking his chair behind him.
"I- I don't know," I said, standing slowly. My conversation with Lee and the twins near the beginning of the year suddenly came to mind, "You never know with Hogwarts."
Madam Pince ran towards the source of the fog and floating books. She disappeared into the mist, "What are you thre-"
Her voice was suddenly cut off. A few first year Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff girls all looked very close to tears as they stood from their table.
The smoke was slowly consuming everything as it crept towards us. Bookshelves, tables, chairs, were all lost in the purple mist.
Did she say three? "You three"?
"Fred Weasley! George! Lee Jordan!" I shouted as loud as I could.
This has to be one of their new products, I've never seen fog like this before. They wouldn't release anything that would hurt anyone. Right? No, of course not. I told them I'd be here. They wouldn't hurt me.
