"Y/n! Y/n!...Ancient Ruins...!" A voice called to me.
I turned over in my bed, away from the sound. I'd already finished that essay weeks ago... Suddenly, my sheets were ripped away and Alicia was shaking my shoulders.
"Honestly, L/n! Get your arse up! You're going to miss the exam!"
I sat up quickly as panic flooded through my body, "Oh, Merlin! Ancient Ruins!"
I rushed down the stairs and out of the common room after hurriedly getting ready. I ran down the halls, lugging my book bag higher onto my shoulder, Gryffindor tie hanging limp around my neck.
I finally entered the near Great Hall and spotted the twins and Lee near the front. As I neared I tossed the bag with a loud THUMP onto the wooden table before throwing myself onto the bench beside Lee.
"Mornin' sunshine," He chirped cheerfully.
"Shut it," I growled putting a few things on my plate.
"Rough morning I take it?" George chuckled into his glass.
"Mo," I mumbled through a full mouth.
"Real attractive there, L/n," Lee snorted.
"Oh, sod off, Jordan," I laughed, shoving him with my shoulder.
"Exam starts in ten minutes, Y/n/n," Fred grinned.
I groaned before finishing stuffing my face and grabbing my bag. I walked with the boys till George and Lee split to go to their own exam. Right before we walked into the room where the exam was hosted, Fred stopped, gently touching my wrist. I turned around to face him, about to say we were going to be late, only to find him a lot closer than I thought he originally was.
We locked eyes for a few seconds and I could feel my heart begin to race. He slowly reached up and took the two ends of my untied tie. He broke eye contact as he gently wove the fabric into a knot. I continued to study his face, the freckles dotting his nose and cheeks, the barely noticeable scar in his left eyebrow (a prank gone awry during first year), his gorgeous eyes... which were now staring back into mine. His lips were curled up into a cheeky grin and a light pink dusted the top of his ears.
I cleared my throat and dropped my gaze before taking a step back, finding my tie successfully tied.
"T-Thanks, Freddie. But I thought you didn't know how to tie them?"
He shrugged before walking inside, "Figured it was time to learn."

As soon as the exam was over we met up with Lee and George in the Great Hall for lunch. As soon as they sat down, both twins immediately dropped their foreheads onto the wooden table and groaned.
"That bad?" Lee and I asked at the same time before sharing a look.
We both laughed but stopped when we heard the other.
"Stop it!"
"And we're the twins," George rolled his eyes.

It was finally the day of the final task. After our Defense Against the Dark Arts Exam (which Fred had claimed he did brilliantly on) we headed down to lunch. To our surprise, Molly and Bill Weasley were sitting at the Gryffindor table eating with Harry.
