(A/N: Notice the Pov?)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Fred's Pov

"The last task is the day after tomorrow- You three need to behave yourselves until then! Ugh! And those four girls- they were terrified! Terrified because of you lot! I get it, tensions are high due to our exams and the tournament. But please, please try to contain yourselves as best you can. And another thing-"

Y/n was pacing back and forth in front of the fireplace in the common room. Lee sat in between George and I on the sofa. With ducked heads, we watched her throw her hands up as she continued to lecture us.

Everyone else had cleared out awhile ago, leaving the room mostly empty.

"Merlin, Y/n/n, you could give McGonagall a run for her money," George muttered, running a hand down his face.

"Well, excuse me for caring about your education," She spat, glaring daggers at him.

"Our education?" Lee asked.

"Just you three wait, one of these days your either going to drop out or get expelled!" She shouted then said quieter, "Probably the latter."

"Oh, come off it, we'd never leave you all by yourself," George exclaimed.

"Promise?"

"Course we promise, Y/n/n. Really think we'd do that to you?" I asked gently.

She sighed before wedging herself between Lee and I, "No. I know you wouldn't. It's just stressful. I'm worried."

Automatically, I rested my head on her shoulder.

"That's all you do though?" Lee commented.

She smacked the side of his head, "Gee thanks, Jordan. I'm worried about the final task. The first two were mental and I dunno. I've just got a bad feeling."

"What type of 'bad feeling'?" George asked.

"It's called 'The Ancient Ruins Exam She's Been Studying for All Week yet Forgot It's Tomorrow' bad feeling," I chirped.

She stood up quickly, her shoulder meeting the side of my head painfully, "Oh, Godric! That is tomorrow! All of you out! Out! I need to study!"

"Ow! Y/n! That hurt!" I whined while rubbing a hand over my head.

"I'm sorry, Freddie," She mumbled before taking my chin in one of her hands and gently turning my face to examine the spot. She used her other hand to lightly brush her fingertips against my injury. My heart felt ready to burst while my breathing stalled. Her concerned e/c eyes washed over my face and she quickly released me after a quick whistle from George. The familiar pins-and-needles feeling that often accompanied her touch settled on where her fingers had been and I silently released the breath I had been holding.

"You're alright," She whispered before looking over to Lee and George.

They were huddled on the opposite side of the sofa both giving us giddy grins and kissy-faces.

"Oh, sod off you two!" She exclaimed while taking a pillow and chucking it at their faces.

It landed on the floor with a quiet smack after Lee blocked the attack.

Seeming satisfied at the reaction they got, the two started up the stairs with George calling, "C'mon Freddie. Let her study, we'll work on some stuff for the shop."

I turned to Y/n, "I can stay if you want."

She gave me a soft smile, "Nah, it's alright."

"You sure?" I asked, secretly hoping she'd need me or want me to stay. The shop was important. But this girl. She was more important.
