"Ah, there you are," Sebastian grinned as Hermione and I walked up to him and Viktor.

"Just had to freshen up a little," Hermione lies neatly.

They each had us a bottle of Butterbeer as we go sit down at an empty table. We sip the drinks and watch the other couples twirl around. Hermione sits her drink down before inviting Viktor for another dance. I watch them go before standing and extending my hand to Sebastian.

He smiles and takes it before I lead him to the floor. As time wears on, the crowd becomes thinner as couples disappear. The Weird Sisters began to play their last song, a slow, beautiful tune . Sebastian once again took my hand and we began to rotate around the floor.

There were still quiet a few couples out and as soon as the song stopped at midnight, everyone applauded. We followed the crowd as it began to move slowly towards the entrance hall. Hermione and Viktor followed us out into the hall where couples were saying goodnight.

Sebastian drug me towards the door a little before stopping. He took my hand and kissed it while bowing, "I had a vonderfull time tonight."

"As did I. Thank you for inviting me," I smiled before mock-curtsying.

He grinned, "Thank you for accepting my invitation."

I bit my lip before deciding to ask the question I had been wondering since he asked me to the ball, "Sebastian?"

"Hmm?"

"It's not that I'm complaining or anything, but why did you ask me to the ball so late?"

He didn't pause before answering, "I thought you were going with one of the ginger twins. But Viktor said that Hermione said you had no date. I decided to ask you."

"Oh. Well, again, thank you for inviting me."

He smiled and faltered for a moment before leaning in and kissing me cheek. My face flushed as he turned on a heel with a grin. With a little skip in his step, he joined Viktor before walking out into the snow.

"Hmm..." Hermione smiled before walking to the foot of the stairs.

"Stop it," I laughed before shoving her lightly.

"I didn't say any-" She paused.

I looked over to see her and Ron locked in an angry staring contest.

"Come on, 'Mione..." I mumbled before taking her elbow and dragging her up the stairs.

"He just makes me so furious!" She whispered angrily as we passed a group of giggling girls.

"Believe me, I know how it feels."

"Speak of the devil." She poked my side as we turned and walked towards the common room entrance.

Low and behold, Fred Weasley stood in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady. I shoved Hermione in front of me as we got closer and hoped we could walk past without confrontation. But of course, nothing was going to go right today.

"Y/n."

I silently groaned, I didn't want to talk to him. Why can't he just leave me be?

"Frederick." I responded coldly as we walked past.

"Y/n, I need to talk to you."

I looked at Hermione desperately.

"Alone," he added catching my plea for help. Hermione hesitantly nodded and with one last look of pity, entered the room.
