Chapter 7

Previously on Open Your Heart, Chapter Six:  She began to laugh, "You're seriously something Jungkook" she mumbled loud enough with her cheek laying on my chest. I could get use to this.

Sinb' POV

I woke up this morning filled with excitement. I wonder what Jungkook meant by "giving him a chance to prove himself". After I said yes to his proposal, a huge boyish smile appeared on his god like face. It had me weak in my knees, I kind of wonder if he ever lets anyone else see that side of him.

Once I walk down stairs into the kitchen, I see all the girls sitting around the table staring at me with serious looks plastered on their faces. "Sinb, take a seat, please. We need to have a serious talk with you" Sowon said.

I sat down in the last empty chair. "Why didn't you tell Sowon and I what's been going on at school? We had to hear it from Yuju, Eunha, and Umji." Yerin spoke. This was the talk I wanted to avoid.

"Because I was afraid you would get upset at me for getting involved with Jungkook" I spoke carefully. Not wanting to say anything wrong, that upset them even more.

"We understand you're a grown up and you can make your own decisions, but we want to know if you're being pressured or threaten into a relationship with Jungkook," Sowon says.

"He's not, I can assure you that. He makes me feel special and he's never even talked to anyone outside of his group. It's gotta mean something." I say, now at the edge of my seat. We sit in silence and every second kills me.

"Ok. You can be with him. But if he does anything horrible, we won't hesitate to make an army and hunt him down" Yerin says with her fork in her hand, looking ready to kill.

I smile and feel relieved "It's not like we're in a relationship, I'm just allowing him to show me his true self. But I will let all 5 of you know if he does mess up".

They all smile with satisfaction. Is that supposed to be a good thing?

So far nothing has happened, I mean I should give it some time. "Thinking about him?" Umji asks as I get my books from my locker. "You read me like an open book. Why bothering asking?" I reply, closing my locker.

"Well, I need to let you know, that I can read your mind. It gives me a sense of power" she grins. I roll my eyes and we head off to class.

I walk over to my seat and look down on my desk, there I see a one rose wrapped in a piece of vinyl, tied off with a blue ribbon. Along with it was a small note attached to it, it read:

Day 1: You're utterly beautiful inside and out :) -Jungkook

I couldn't stop the smile taking over my face. I turn around just in time to see Jungkook walk in with Best 6. He smiled a little and sat behind me. Before I had left school, I asked Jungkook if we could keep us a secret. The rumors about us were slowly dying down and I was hoping to keep it that way.I didn't want to be involved in the drama nor did want any more fights to happen. He agreed as well and said he wouldn't say anything, for now.

I turned to look and Umji and saw her grinning like a child. "So cute! she whispered.

Then the clock hand hit 9, and class began. After a long hour and a half, I went to gym. Nothing new really happened, except we had to run 3 laps around the soccer field. At least I brought my bottled water this time. 

"Alright class, we're going to have a final project that counts towards your final mark for the first semester" Mrs. Young spoke after we had our water break. The class groaned inwardly.

"Don't be such babies. It's a simple project. You as an individual must research a sport of your choice. It should be about who created it, where did originate from, what are the rules etc".

I myself don't like projects but prefer to study for tests. It's easier for me, but it doesn't mean I won't put as much effort into the project like I do for my tests. Mrs. Young dismissed us and we all left to the change room.

After freshening myself up, I decide to get a head start and walk over to the library to get a book about baseball. She said we needed at least one one book for the project. Luckily we have a huge library in the school that had lots of books to choose from.

I went to the sports section and began to look at the variety of books. Then I felt arms wrap around my waist. "Hey baby" I immediately know who that voice belonged to, Jungkook.

I turn around and there he is smiling at me. "How did you know where I was?" I asked him curiously.

"Well I have gym too this semester and our teachers do the same things, so I figured you were in here" he gestured to the library. I lightly smiled "smart".

"Did you like the rose?" he asked his hands laying on my hips.

"Yes I did, thank you. It really brightened up my day" I say smiling. I'm not sure what came over me but I allowed my hands to lay on top of his chest. He smiled at the action. Then I noticed something.

"Why are you wearing your hood, we're indoors?" the weather today was a bit breezy but not to the point where you needed to wear a hoodie.

"Well, you did say you wanted to keep us a secret. I couldn't resist seeing you so I thought hiding myself would do just fine".

"You're really considerate, thank you Jungkook" I gave him a peck on his smooth cheek. Shocking us both.

"Anything for you Sinb."

He walked out the library first to avoid any suspicion. It took me about 20 minutes to find one book, after our encounter. It was totally worth it.
