Chapter 8

Previously on Open Your Heart, Chapter Seven: He walked out the library first to avoid any suspicion. It took me about 20 minutes to find one book, after our encounter. It was totally worth it.

Sinb's POV

It's been 7 days excluding the weekend, and every single day I've received a different kind of flower with a different note. I now have enough flowers for a whole bouquet. Every day I wake up with filled with excitement to see what he wrote next.

I walk over to my desk to see a box of chocolates today, that's new. There was also a note attached to it Will you do the honors of going out with me beautiful? After a whole week of his constant affection, I knew my answer. It's crazy how behind Jungkook's bad boy image, he has such a loving heart.

Umji walks along with me to the lunchroom. I decided to eat lunch before finding him. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! That's what we heard being chanted down the hallway. Then Yuju comes running down the hallway with Eunha.

"You need to follow me right now Sinb. You're not gonna like what I'm about to tell you" she says while breathing heavily. I nod my head a few times and we're all running down into the lunchroom? What is going on?

She shoves the people in the crowd aside and we make it into the middle. There I see Jungkook straddling Peter punching him repetitively. I bring my hand to cup my mouth. "Do something Sinb, he'll only listen to you!" Umji tells me. But the secret. No, forget about it, the secret doesn't matter at a time like this. I muster up the courage and walk over to them.

"Get off him Jungkook!" I scream. He doesn't listen. Peter is on the verge of dying by now, I can't just stand here. I walk right up to Jungkook and grab his face. He's sweating and I can see a few cuts but it's nothing compared to Peter.

"If you don't get off him right now Jungkook, I will never talk to you ever again," I say sternly.

He drops Peter and grabs me by the wrist harshly. He drags me out the lunchroom and pulls me into the janitor's closet. He turns on the light and we just stare at each other. Before he can say anything, I cut him off.

"What the hell was that? What happened to prove yourself? I thought you changed, you clearly never did!" I scream, shaking uncontrollably.

"I did fuckin change!" he said trying to keep his anger at bay.

"Then why would you beat up Peter? You could've killed him!" I start sobbing. He goes to hug me, and I flinch back. Those hands I used to love holding me were now a nuisance.

"Fuckin shit. I overheard him talking to his friends about how good of a fuck you would be. He said even though you probably wouldn't want to fuck him he would force you and you would eventually enjoy it. I was not going to let him have any chance doing that whatsoever. So I beat him up to the point where I know he'll be in the hospital for weeks." he said caging me with both hands on the side of my head with his dark brown eyes; filled with anger.

Peter said that? I knew Peter wasn't a good person to start with, but he would go to the extent of raping me? I don't know to think anymore. If Jungkook didn't beat up Peter, he could've attempted his plan. But now Peter is in critical condition.

"It could've been dealt with in a different manner Jungkook. Violence is never the answer. You could've reported him to the office." I say as my sobs have completely died down.

He scoffs. "They wouldn't have done shit. One week suspension would have done nothing, he would come back here and actually assault you".

"Don't say that. You can just jump to conclusions" I respond.

"Stop being so damn naive. You know what, fuck it. If you can't believe me, then it's your problem. I'm done trying to be nice to you" he says slamming the door open and walking away. Leaving me heartbroken.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt. Also, I have a question. What devices do you use to read my story? It would help me out a bit, so I know how much space I need to put in between my writing.
