Crash Landing On The Edge (HTTYD/RTTE)

Chapter 23|Long Time, No See/Author's Note

The next morning was crazy. Everyone was actually training, no idea why. Some seemed on edge a bit too. Eventually I found Hope, my sister.

"Hope!" I said walking towards her. She turned in my direction,"What's going on?"

"We just found out that the Dragon Hunters have a new dragon to auction off. To my surprise it's Moonlight." She told me worriedly.

"What's the game plan?" I asked her. She looked at me with a look of worry on her face.

"We don't have a plan." She told me,"We have no idea where this auction is, so there for... we don't know what to do." She finished.

"Well, maybe we just have to..." My voice trailed off.

"To what?" She asked.

"I know! You know how StarStruck and Moonlight's gems are in a way connected?" She nodded her head,"We can use that to our advantage."

"But how? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a good idea but, how will it work?" She asked me.

"Their amulets glow when they are near each other. I mean, it is a faint light but they do glow." I pointed out. She nodded her head and began to smile.

"You're right!" She shouted,"We might actually be able to find my dragon after all!"

"Good. Now we just have to find Hiccup and tell him the plan." With that thought we were off to find Hiccup.

Time Skip___________________

"So, what do we do?" Heather asked. Hiccup looked at her.

"We need to try and sneak in, find Hope's dragon, and leave." He told her, as well as everyone else.

"So, we have no plan... at all?"  Astride asked concerned. Hiccup nodded his head.

"The thing is, only me and Hope need to go in. You all just have to be on stand by." I told them. They nodded their heads.

"Alright, lets go." Hope said eager to get her dragon. She turned and started walking towards StarStruck, but I grabbed her wrist causing her to look at me,"What?" She asked.

"We can't just go now, we need to figure out if someone else is going in with us." I told her. She stopped for a second, then realized I was right. She nodded her head.

"Yeah, your right." She finally said. I looked at Hiccup and Heather.

"Will you two come with us?" I asked them. Heather nodded her head.

"Sure, we'll go with you." Hiccup said nodding his head too. With that we all got on our dragons and headed for the base camp of the auction.

Time Skip___________________

"Look, I see Moonlight!" Hope said excitedly behind me,"I can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!" She squealed. I looked at her.

"Well, too bad. You're gonna have to wait." She looked at me and frowned,"It won't be long, really." I told her.

"Okay, so me and Heather are a, distraction?" Hiccup asked for like the millionth time. Heather looked at him.

"No, just me. Morgan has said this MANY times. You'd think it be burned in your brain by now." She remarked. Hiccup just gave her a miserable look,"What? I'm just being honest."

"Alright, lets get my dragon!" Hope said excitedly. I nodded my head.

"Heather, be careful, quick, and don't let them know you're a dragon rider." I told her. She was wearing all black and had a mask that covered almost her whole head. She put up her mask and got into her dragon quickly, and without hesitation she was able to charge in and distract the guards.

"Alright, lets go." I whispered and motioned for them to follow me. As soon as a saw a guard I froze and backed up.

"What's wrong?" Hiccup asked me.

"I see a hunter." I said staring at the person. Eventually I realized something,"Star, your up." I told her. She nodded her head and shot a blast of ice at the ground, causing it to go and form around the person's feet, leaving them unable to walk.

"Smart." Hope told me. I nodded my head and we all ran to the cage. Moonlight growled happily at the sight of Hope,"Come on girl, we're here to get you out." She told her dragon.

"But how do we break the cage, we can't open it without using a key." Hiccup reminded us. I stood to think for a moment.

"Hope, blast the cage lock a few times. That should do the trick." Hope nodded and did as I told. Soon enough the lock was so cold that it crippled at the slightest of touch.

"Or just do that." Hiccup said with a slight shrug. Finally we were able to open the cage. When the door swung open, Moonlight jumped out and landed on Hope. She started to lick her face and growl happily.

"Okay, okay!" Hope said with a slight laugh. She eventually was able to push Moonlight off of her and hug her dragon.

"Alright, let's get out of her before someone-" Hiccup was cut off by a dragon hunter.

"Hey!" They shouted. They began running towards us.

"Toothless signal flare!" Hiccup shouted as he began to run the opposite way of the dragon hunter.

"StarStruck, plasma blast!" I shouted as I got onto her back. When she shot the hunter, she surprisingly missed by a few feet. Soon enough everyone else was here.

"We need to get the other dragons and take them to the edge!" Astride reminded us.

"Right. Hope, ice the locks, StarStruck will do the same. The rest of you can follow behind us and try to break them." They nodded and followed behind us, breaking the locks.

Shorty after all the dragons were free and we were able to successfully get them back to the edge.

"That was crazy." I said. Hope nodded her head in agreement.

"Yeah, that was crazy. I just don't want to do that EVER again." Hope said hugging her dragon. Moonlight began to growl happily in agreement.

"For now, lets just stay at the edge, doing nothing." Heather told us. We all nodded.

Later on that evening me and Hope just went for a short walk on the beach. Walking close to the water.

"Thanks." Hope said. I looked at her.

"Thanks for what?" I asked.

"For helping me find Moonlight. I'm glad you're my sis, of all the people." She said smiling while staring at the sand.

"Wow, that means a lot. And, your welcome. I mean, I know you would've done the same for me. " I replied. She smiled at me then ran ahead of me a little ways.

"Here! Why don't we do a little sparring? Just like we used to?" She suggested. I smiled and laughed slightly. Then I began to run towards her, ready to attack. From that point on we started sparring almost every night. Finally, I began to have something close to both, life in the village, and my past life...

Hello peoples! I know I haven't posted in a while, that's because I've had major writers block and couldn't think of anything. Finally I was able to come up with something, thank goodness! Anyway, I want to tell you all some important stuff that is related to this story. Soon enough I'm going to mark this story [COMPLETE] then work on the more detailed/ heavily edited version of it, then maybe make a book two if you all want me to. I also want to say that at the time of this being published it has 287 reads, that's crazy!(For me) Any who, if you want me to eventually make a book two, let me know!
