I have a question to ask y'all early on, so I can work anything out if I need to.

Would you rather be with Steve Trevor, or would you like the chemistry to stay between Diana and Steve? Do let me know whenever you see this.

    Y/N'S POV

Once Themyscira was finally out of view, I let out a long sigh as I missed Mother and everyone else already.

Diana laughed before she said,"It'll be all right, Y/N. We can go to man's world and stop Ares from filling everyone with deceit and hatred. So, Steve Trevor, what's man's world like? Is it like Themyscira?"

Steve looked at Diana and me, but I was really interested in whatever answer that he was going to respond with. I had always wondered what it was like beyond Themyscira, but I never left because I was unaware that there was even life outside of the paradise.

Steve shook his head before he answered Diana,"No, not at all. It isn't as beautiful, and it isn't filled with just women."

I asked Steve in a defensive tone,"What's that supposed to mean, Steve Trevor?"

I crossed my arms, and Steve looked a little flustered, but he stuttered while saying,"N..not that there is a.anything wrong with that, b..but there are men like me and many more way more important t..than I am."

I asked Steve,"So, your worth is dependent on your social status?"

Steve said,"Would you let me speak? Please."

I motioned for Steve to continue before he said,"Thank you. Now, the world that we may or may not be heading into may not be as adventurous and exciting as you two women may think it is. Not everyone is very welcoming, but there are a few that like to be as helpful and respectful towards others as possible."

I looked at Steve for a moment before Diana nodded, and I asked Steve,"Are you one of those "few," Steve Trevor?"

Steve smiled at me, but then he held his hands up as he said,"Well, I let your sister save me from my plane, didn't I?"

Diana smiled before she asked me,"Y/N, would you like to lie down?"

Steve moved over, motioning for me to lie down in between him and Diana, but I shook my head and then sent them both a small smile as I answered,"No. I'm fine standing up. Someone needs to stay up just in case something happens. You two get some sleep. Steve, Diana's a talker, so I'm warning you now."

Diana rolled her eyes before she pushed my leg. I chuckled before I looked out at the water surrounding the sailboat.
I closed my eyes at the warm and inviting ocean breeze, and then I took that time to think about what it would've been like if I hadn't come along.

I would've been with Mother, but I wouldn't dare leave Diana.

Diana was my older sister, and I loved her too much to leave her to do anything on her own.

I smiled at the thought, and someone cleared their throat before I turned to see Steve standing beside me. Then, I looked at Diana, who was fast asleep.
I walked over to where she was laying and wrapped the covers tighter around Diana. Then, I moved her hands underneath the blanket.

I heard Steve say,"You really love her, don't you?"

I nodded before I answered,"I do. I look up to her, Steve. Diana has always been there, even when Mother once thought that she should have separated us."

Steve nodded before he asked me,"Why would she want to separate the two of you?"

I sighed, but then I sat down on the edge of the boat as I answered,"Because of Ares, The God of War. Diana and me, we weren't created like normal babies are, which Diana and you just talked about... Umm... She was afraid that Ares would find us both and kill us, but one particular Amazon convinced her not to."

I frowned and then looked down at my feet before I felt Steve's hands over my own. His touch felt so... comforting, but this fuzzy feeling suddenly grew inside of me.

I asked Steve in confusion,"Why are you doing that?"

Steve put his hands in my own as he said,"I'm trying to comfort you, Y/N. It's all right. I don't wish to make you feel uncomfortable or threatened. If I am, then I apologize. It's what we do to make someone else feel better."

My eyes met Steve's, and I sent him a small smile before replying,"Well, it's working, Steve. Thank you. Are we almost there?"

Steve chuckled, but he took control of the sailboat before he said,"No. If I were you, princess, I would get some sleep."

I nodded, but I cleared my throat before asking Steve,"Did you just call me princess?"

Steve motioned to Diana and me as he said,"That's what you two are, right? If you don't like that, then just forget I said it."

  I shook my head, but then I lied down as I said,"No. It's fine. I don't mind."
