Ally's P.O.V
"What if I'm not good enough to run with the guy's" I question to my dad.
"Don't worry honey if your anything like grandpa you'll definitely give those guys a run for there money" dad speaks on our way to the garage.
" morning al. Ready to test this baby out" my crew chief mark Walton states. "Sure thing" I run my hand across my blue 23 Red Bull Chevy Camaro admiring its beauty. Soon enough it's time for me to suit up and head out for my first practice and a NASCAR cup driver.
Once I'm all buckled in I pull out of the garage and onto pit road as I wait for Mark to tell me when to head out. "Alright Al head on out there but take the first lap easy since it's new" "10-4 Mark" I ease into the throttle as I head out to make my first lap. I thought the car was a little tight coming out of turn 4 but I didn't worry bout it. "Okay Ally take it up to full speed when u cross the start line if you'd like" I listen to Marks request and take full speed into turn 1 and 2. "Oh my god! This is awesome" I yell over the radio as I drive into turns 3 and 4 around to the start finish line. Just as I cross the start finish line I hear mark and my dad in my ear. "HOLY COW. ALLISON SANDERS YOU JUST SET THE FASTEST LAP WITH ONLY YOU SECOND LAP IN A CUP CAR" "great job kiddo. Dinners on me tonight". Shortly after I pull in finally practice ended. As I got out of my car my boss rick Hendricks came to say a few words "Dang girl where have you been. I knew I picked a good one for my team. Great practice. Keep it up and you'll be winning races in no time" I thanked mr. H and started to walk back to my motor home I ran into a couple people saying good job and how I was a natural then I ran into a group of guys my age. "Hey nice job about there you must be the new girl we heard about" one with curly brown hair asked. He looked familiar i just didn't remember how. "I'm Ryan by the way and this is bubba,Erik and chase" "Ryan we've already met. Did u forgot I'm her teammate and man I'm sure glad I am. Maybe you could teach me a few things about racing" chase said referring to me. Oh my god then it hit me I knew Ryan he was my best friend when I was little we both grew up in Ohio together but he moved away when he started traveling for racing. I never knew he was gonna be this big. "Ryan I can't believe you don't remember me" I spoke without thinking. "Well maybe if I knew your name beautiful I would remember" he spoke. "Ry it's me Allison. Allison sanders. Your best friend from back home who raced against u in dirt races for 7 years." Just as I said that Ryan looked like a light bulb had gone off in his head. "Oh my. I'm so sorry ally that I didn't recognized you. I'm so happy to see you" he said as he engulfed me into a hug.
This was gonna be a great season with Ryan here. My dad seeing me live out my dream and me being part of the best teams in NASCAR.
