Chapter 6: you, me, and racing

"Family of Ryan blaney" a nurse calls and we all stand.

Ally's P.O.V

Me, chase and the blaneys stand up. When we do Erik, bubba,brad and joey all rush through hospital doors and join us to listen on the report. "Mr. Blaney only has a mild concussion and a couple cracked ribs." The nurse says and all of us sigh on relief of how minor it is. "You all may go see him now. He's in room 437." She says and the group of us all head up there. We all agree that Lisa, Dave, Erin and Emma should go first so me and the guys stood outside of the room all staying silent I kept my head down till brad tapped me and directed my attention to my dad walking up. I walked and met him halfway and he just engulfed me in a hug. "Is he okay?" My dad asked. This hurt him too since Ryan was like a son to him. I told him what the nurse told me and we walked back over to the guys and waited. Chase could tell I was on easy he wrapped his arm around me and spoke. "He's gonna be okay I promise" just then the blaneys came out and the look on there face wasn't good but I went in. "Hey beautiful" Ryan spoke barely above a whisper. "Oh my gosh Ry" I say walking over to him. I pull up a chair next to the bed and I intertwine our hands. "I'm so sorry Ry if I hadn't been talking to u in between qualifying you would have gone out earlier and u wouldn't had ended up here." I say beginning to cry again. "Babe please don't cry. It's not your fault. It's Kyle's." Ryan says as he wipes my tears away. He pulls me into him and strokes my hair. "Ryan can I tell you something and u promise you won't kick me out once I say it?" I ask. "Of course. Allison we told each other everything before and we can tell each other everything now." He says kissing my forehead. "Ryan. I...I....I love you" I finally get out. "I love you too Allison.@ he says and I instantly smile. I lean in and kiss him and he groans. "Oh. I'm sorry ry does it hurt?" I say worried. "Yes but it's gonna hurt anyway so why not get something out of it" he says and pulls me into another kiss. " it's you, me and racing cutie. Allison Marie sanders will you be my girlfriend?." Ryan's says and I smile. "Yes Ry. I love you." I say and kiss him again and as I do all the guys as his family and my dad come into the room. All I can here are wolf whistles from all of them. "You two got something you wanna tell us?" Joey asks. "Well me and ally are officially an item. But it keep it to yourselves please as hard as I may be but we don't need the media knowing" we laugh. I decide to get up and stand with the rest of our friends and family. "Don't worry Ry we're gonna get Kyle this weekend."chase says. "No your not none of you are. That's not how I race and you all know that" Ryan tried to defend himself. "Ry. He put you in the hospital and took you out of the race for 3 weeks. Let me and the guys do this. He's not gonna hurt my boyfriend and get away with it." I begged. "Ryan let us get this guy. Raise your hand if Kyle has done something to you on the track." Brad says. Joey,Ryan,brad,chase, and me all raise our hands. "What happened you u Al?" Ryan asked. " two years ago I ran the Kentucky race in a truck in place of Ben Rhodes for one race. And I was running with Kyle for first and last lap he dumped me into the wall so he could win. I destroyed ben's truck and I wasn't asked to drive again. Kyle gave me a bad rep for an entire season and a half. I was supposed to race xfinty last year but the offer went away because Busch dumped me at Kentucky and everyone thought i couldn't drive cause I couldn't save the truck from that wreck. He did that and now he's put my boyfriend in the hospital. I love you Ry but That's why I have to go after Kyle." I say. I saw Ryan's face getting red and mad because of what had happened to me. "Okay. Go ahead but none of y'all screw up your cars for that asshole. I wanna see one of you six in VL tomorrow." Ryan says. "Okay. Bubba do u wanna fill in for me for the next 3 races?" Ryan asked. "I wouldn't have it any other way Ry. Of course I will" bubba says. Just then there was a knock on the door and it was the doctor. "Mr.Blaney we are going to keep you here overnight to analysis or see if any problems occur but if nothing goes wrong overnight or tomorrow morning we will release you tomorrow" the nurse says and leaves us. Everyone is in there own conversations for a bit and eventually people start to file out and head back to the track. Soon enough it's just me, Ryan, chase, bubba and my dad. "Ry do you want me to stay with you tonight?" I ask. "If you would like beautiful. But you don't have to since u have to race tomorrow." Ryan says. "Too bad I'm staying with you." I say. "Hey Ally I'll take u back to get some stuff from the trailer if u want and then u can drive back if u want?" My dad asks. "Yeah. That's would be awesome. I'll be back in a bit Ry" I said as I walk over to Ryan and I peck his lips then grab my phone and leave. "So you and Blaney" my dad teased. "Stop. He makes me really happy and he's also sweet." I explain to my dad. "Trust me honey u don't know how long I've waited for this day. When you to were smaller every night what you would come in from hanging out around the neighborhood with him you would always be in the best mood and be so happy." My dad expressed. I smiled at the memories playing through my head.

When we got back to the track I packed a backpack with some clothes for tonight and tomorrow and got my charger and grabbed a couple of movies incase Ryan wanted to watch some tonight. When I was packing I thought about getting food and taking it to the guys in the hospital. So I texted the group me,chase,bubba and Ryan had:

Allison🐳: hey y'all I thought Ryan probably don't want eat that nasty hospital food so I'm picking up chick-fil -a on the way back what do y'all want?

Bubba🤘🏽: chicken sandwich meal fully dressed with a coke. Thanks white bean😋

blaney☺️❤️: 12-count nugget meal with a coke. Thanks baby. Ily❤️

With that I got in my black chevy Camero. What can I say I love this car and went to get the guys food and drove back to the hospital.
