Chapter 7: a night to remember

Ally's P.O.V

"Foods here." I yell as I walk into Ryan's hospital room. All three of the boys cheer. They all grab there food and I grab mine and sit next to Ryan in a chair and hand him his food. "Thank you baby." Ryan says kissing my cheek. "Ew. Get a room" bubba and chase shout. "Remind me to use that next time I'm with you two and Amanda and kaylie." Ryan says with a smirk. That shut them up real quick. We all are watching tv when Ryan's crash from earlier and Kyle Busch's interview comes on since he got the pole. "Yeah, it's really unfortunate what happens with Ryan my car just got lose and I hit." Kyle explains. "YEAH RIGHT ASSHOLE YOU DID THE SAME THING TO ME 2 YEARS AGO!!!" I yell at the tv. "Welp....now we know who your favorite driver is. I'm sure if I asked I could get u an autograph." bubba says with a smug face and changes the station "zip it Darrell" I say. "Oooooo his real name" chase said. "William Clyde Elliot II I'm gonna punch you." I speak "Sorry guys he just pisses me off so bad." I say calming down. "Don't worry babe. Your up there with him on the front row tomorrow and chase is behind him with your teammate behind you and brad and Erik behind chase and Jimmie. He's completely screwed." Ryan's says with a laugh. Oh yeah I forgot I qualified 2nd. The top 10 are Kyle, me, chase, Jimmie (Johnson), brad, Erik, joey, Clint (Bowyer), Kurt (Busch) and Austin Dillon.

Soon enough visiting hours were over and chase and Bubba had to leave. They wanted to stay and be there for Ryan but we convinced them that they had a race tomorrow and that they need some actually rest. "Bye guys"e and Ryan yelled. "Goodbye happy couple." They both say sumgly and eventually left. "I'll be back babe. I'm go change." I walk into the bathroom and change and then walk back out in one of Ryan's shirts and  sweatpants. "Dang. My girl looks hot in my clothes" he says admiring me. "Well aren't you just sweet." I peck his cheek. "Wanna watch a movie. I brought a couple from my motor home." I say  getting my backpack. "Sure what did you bring?" He says. "Um....If I stay or days of thunder?" I ask. "Days of Thunder." We both say. I pop it into the DVD player and sit in a chair next to Ryan's bed.

Halfway through the movie Ryan pauses it. I give him "why'd you do that" look and he asks a question. "Chase told me how bad you flipped when I got in a wreck and how much You cared. Why did it bother you so much ?" Ryan asked not looking at me. "Ryan look at me." I asked and he slowly raised his head. "You were there for me when other people weren't. Even though we weren't in contact for 7 years I come back and we are together again and you were the same Ryan that was sweet, goofy, and caring who was my best friend and who I loved. The thought of you being in a wreck is scary enough but when u don't take down the window net and your not getting out scares me beyond anything else. I can't stand the thought of losing you Ry and maybe it's because I understand every single danger you endure when u go out in a cup car but it's scares me more than anything else meaning that I could lose my best friend and boyfriend." I finally speak with tears welling up in my eyes. " I love you Allison Marie Sanders" he says and pulls me into a hug. "I love you so much more Ryan Michael Blaney" I say into his chest. "Will you do something for me?" Ryan asked. "Ry, I'd do anything for you." I say. "Okay then come cuddle with me." Ryan says with a smile on his face. " wow. I thought I was the baby in this relationship." I say laughing and laying in the hospital bed with Ryan's arms around me.

After awhile I hear light snores coming from Ryan. I try and get up the best I could without waking him up cause I knew I kicked when I slept and I didn't wanna hurt Ryan. As I'm getting up my phone beeps. I had a text message. Who could be texting me this late. It's midnight. It's the group text.

Erik😎: how's Ryan?

Clyde🤷‍♂️: has he slept?

Brad✅:is Ry in pain?

Bubba🤘🏽: he still alive?

Joey🤙: I get y'all are concerned but damn, All of us have to race tomorrow so go to bed.

Allison🐳: thanks Joey! Yes he's fine damn y'all. now.....GO TO BED. We all have to race tomorrow and it's the 500 damnit.

I stay on my phone for about another 20 minutes checking all my socials and then I put my phone down and try to fall asleep in a chair. I kept tossing and turning unable to fall asleep. "Babe come here you look restless" I hear someone say but I scream before I can register it's Ryan. "I don't wanna hurt you Ry. I know I kick in my sleep." I say. "Allison. Come over here I can't sleep either but I slept when your on my arms and I don't give 2 shits about you hurting me at least your in my arms." Ryan's says and somehow convinces me to go lay down with him and once I did I fell right asleep with Ryan and with a smile on my face.
