Nicotine: the sequel to 'The Ballad Of Brallon'

The note

Dallons pov:

The hospital is finally discharging me today which means I can go visit Brendon. I have a nurse take me to the ninth floor which is locked for elopement purposes. Once we get onto the floor I see a lot of people wearing normal clothes which I did not expect. I thought you'd have to walk around in straight jackets. 

Most of the patients are playing cards or watching T.V. I enter the visiting room and wait for Brendon to come. The nurse walks him in tells me I'm not allowed to give him anything like drugs, alcohol, a phone. I nod and agree to everything, then she exits the room. I run to Brendon giving him a hug and kissing him. I go to sit back down.

I know this isn't a good time to joke but I point at our wrists and say we're twins now. Brendon Snickers and then starts complaining about how ridiculous this place is. I ask him if he knows when he's getting released. Suddenly his smile from seeing me turns to a frown. "They said I can go when I stop having nightmares," Brendon cries, "But, I can't control what I do when I'm sleeping. I want to go home with you so bad." 

I wipe the tears out of Brendon eyes. "I know, I know baby," I say trying to calm Brendon down, "I want you to come home with me too. Until then I will visit you every single day. I won't forget about you." I kiss him on the cheek. He tells me the girls here are driving him crazy. I ask if he's been writing anymore songs. He tells me he can't because they won't let him have anything to write with.

Before I leave I see a couple girls staring. I turn Brendon to face me and start kissing him in front all the girls, while flipping them off. I laugh. Brendon asks me what's so funny. I tell him to ask the girls. As I ride the elevator down to the first floor, I feel a piece of paper in my pocket.

I unfold the paper and it reads: 

I know how I'm gonna get out of here
