It's me or your music

Dallons pov:

My mouth is open in shock. Not realizing he had noticed Spencer asked, "What? Surprised to see me?" I nod my head up and down, "Yeah." I close my mouth then ask, "Why are you here?" "I'm working," he says pointing at his badge. "I know!" I say. I hated how he was always so sarcastic when I would ask him something serious.

"Why are you here in Las Vegas?" I ask him. "I got transferred," he tells me, " why are you in Las Vegas?" I tell him that I finally joined a band. We broke up because he had to work at the hospital and I was always out playing at clubs with a new band every night. He never took my music seriously. Once I would find a band that was on the rise they'd suddenly platued. He told me one of us had to give up our job if we wanted to keep our relationship. Since he had a steady job at the hospital he told me I had to give up my music career for us to be together.

It was either him or my music. I packed my stuff and left him that night. I moved into my own place and started making videos on YouTube. "Okay so then what are you doing at the hospital?" Spencer asks. I tell him I'm here for my fiance. His smile starts to fade, like what I just said disappointed him.  "Oh, so why is your f-fiance here," he asks me.

As I start telling him about the reason Brendon is here and why he's not sleeping, Spencer gets a look of confusion on his face. "Is your fiance in the band with you," he asks. I nod my head, "He's the lead singer?" "Is the band called 'Panic! At The Disco'?" He asks. I nod my head again, "Wait how do you know all this?" "Because Brendon Urie was my patient on the psyche ward," Spencer says.

Things get awkwardly silent between us. "Well I should head back to Brendons room," I say. I turn around to slowly walk away. Did my ex boyfriend just tell me he was the one doing my fiance's psyche evaluation while he was here.
