×Chapter Three×
Aiden jumps to his feet, saying, “We might as well get her stuff into my room before we go to bed.”
We sluggishly get up after him and begin carrying my luggage into the room, which turns out to be almost as nice as the living area. There are two queen sized beds on either side of the room and a rather large window between them. There is a night stand beside my bed, and another by Aiden’s. A lamp and an alarm clock are on each night stand.
The first thing that comes to my mind is that I’m setting the alarm to four in the morning just to piss Aiden off. Maybe that will be early enough for him. Just the thought of it makes me smile. There is also a stereo, a twenty-six inch TV, along with a DVD player, in the room. But the overall theme of the interior is black with red trimming. Trite gothic.
“What’s up with the two doors?” I ask no one in particular.
“One closet is yours, and the other is mine,” Aiden answers.
I jump at how close he is to me and turn around to see only us two are now in the room.
“They went to their own rooms to finish unpacking. Damion went to find his roommate,” he says to my unasked question.
“Wait a minute,” I interject, inquisitively. “Only one roommate? I thought every room around here has four roommates.”
“They’re…different,” he says. I can tell by his face that saying even that felt like he was giving me too much information. Whatever.
Without a word, I head to the door to the right, but Aiden interrupts me with, “Nope,” so I sigh and enter the door to the left.
As I’m walking in, I’m met with a walk-in closet. And not only is it a huge closet, but inside is a vanity desk, stool, and a full-length mirror fit for the size of five people, which is definitely cool. Seems like this closet was altered to fit the needs of a girl.
Tons of hangers are waiting for me to hang up my clothes, and shoe racks for me to store my shoes. Not to mention a large drawer was provided for my undergarments.
After ten minutes, I finish getting all my bags into my closet—no thanks to Aiden, the asshole. He sits on his bed, acting like a god himself, or in Aiden’s case–Satan. All he does is watch me struggle.
I close the door so he can’t continue staring at me anymore. Normally, I would start unpacking, now. But I can’t resist the urge to get out my pen and start plotting ways to get my revenge.
Ways to Make Aiden’s Life Hell:
1. Set alarm clock for 4 AM. Don’t forget ear plugs for myself.
2. Say I’m scared of the dark and that I need the light on, & when he turns it off, scream at the top of my lungs about monsters under the bed & in the closet.
3. While Aiden is gone, paint walls pink & change bedding to pink & lacy. Put butterflies & flowers on the walls.
4. Put fake spiders in his bed.
5. Throw itching powder on all of his clothes.
6. Turn off alarm at night. Sleep on couch & set my cell alarm late so he’ll be late for school.
7. Talk out loud in class about how I walked in on him masturbating while moaning some guy’s name.
8. While in the room together, start crying & going on about some random guy that doesn’t like me back.
