His breathe shaked as he neared the edge of the bridge. He peered down and gulped at the rocky water hundreds of feet below.
He didn't understand the fear that rose in his stomach as tears slipped down his cheeks. Isn't this what he wanted?
He knew his dad didn't pay attention. Or the fact that his mom never cared. Yet the fear still rose in his stomach.
He was one inch from losing it all.
He was miserable. He was bullied in school, starving and deprived. He felt numbness and pain. The cuts could only attach him to reality for so long.
Closing his eyes he took a deep breathe. A calmness washed over him. It would all be over soon. He opened his eyes and peered down again.
He felt himself being yanked from the edge and thrown onto the ground several meters away.
He stared up at the one and only Dean Winchester.
"What the hell man" Dean spat out. "What were you doing?"
Castiel stared up at him in shock. Only moments ago he was sure he would of fallen to his death.
He sat up staring at the edge and broke out on tears. Dean grabbed him and pulled him close.
Castiel couldn't believe what was going on. Dean Winchester, school jock and heartthrob just saved him.
"Dean" he choked out "I don't want to be saved" he pushed out of his grip and dried his tears.
"You have to let me do this"
"I can't just let someone die"
Cas looked at him and turned towards the edge again fully expecting to jump.
Dean wrapped his arm around his waist pulling him back. Cas struggled in his grip.
"Who cares, my parents won't, you won't, those jerks at school won't, you don't even know me"
"Your Castiel Novak the school brainiac"
"You forgot the school joke"
"What those guys do, it's not right okay but please don't jump"
"You can't stop me"
"Give me 10 days"
"What?"
"Give me 10 days to show you 10 reasons you shouldn't jump" Dean said his voice quivering slightly "if not you can come back here and I won't stop you"
Cas looked at Dean and rolled his eyes.
"Fine""Okay Novak" he stepped forward and embraced him.
"You have ten days Dean" Cas said while reluctantly hugging back.He hoped it would be enough time.
A/N
Sorry that was a bit depressing but you know sometimes you need to write it. I might possibly be adding on later but I'm not sure yet.
