I had snuggled up to Hiccup and I was now drifting off to sleep. The last thing I thought was that Hiccup was so warm but I wasn't comfortable for long. As I entered the realm of dreams I began having nightmares.
"I don't need a dragon that's useless. I can't even ride you." Dream Hiccup mumbled.
I could barely here the words that he was saying.
"But I can't be too hard on you considering you couldn't fly before. I thought you were supposed to be one of the fastest flying dragons out there but I guess I was wrong."
Hiccup was now walking away from me. I tried chasing after him but I couldn't move. I couldn't even yell out to him. Hiccup had now completely vanished from my sight. I tried to call out for him to come back but not a peep came out. I looked down to where my feet were supposedly glued to the floor except they weren't. Instead I was high above the clouds looking at some sparking water that shined like stars in the sunlight. Suddenly I lost my balance and I was falling from the heavens. As I got closer to the brightly lit sea it turned into this mucky brown sludge. When I hit this goopy mass of unidentifiable liquid my vision went dark and I woke up in a panic. I turned on my side to find Hiccups' face right beside mine.
"I promise I will become useful to you in this form. I will find a way. It doesn't even matter if I am nothing more then your dragon. All that matters is that you are in my life and I will try my best to keep it that way." I had made a promise to the sleeping Hiccup and I gently kissed his forehead trying not to wake him up. As I laid back down and close my eyes I thought about the words I had said. More in particular the part where I said that all that matters was that he was in my life. We have all said things like that. As long as your in my life it doesn't matter if we're nothing more than friends. We all know that's just some lie we tell ourselves even though we know we will never be satisfied by just being friends. I had drifted off to sleep once more.
