Alone (Secrets book two)

Part 6: Another Journey Starting.

We followed Mrs. Jen into a little room, which was her office. It’s nice that she could have her own little personal workspace.
“Sit, children.”She said pointing at a seat at the sofa.

We sat down and she gave us a cup of tea. Traditional British style, with extra milk and sugar. Blinding isn’t it?
(P.s.Blinding is a british slang which means fantastic.)

“So...about the arrow thing...” I said while sipping some of the tea.“ How did you do that ?” I asked.

“It’s a long story, child.” She replied.
“Actually, i worked with your dad a long time ago.” Our eyes widened.
“I am kind of a magician...actually...”

“What !? So do you cast any spells? Do you have a wand like Harry Potter ? Try the wingardium leviosa spell!” Caele said excitedly.

“Um..i..um...cannot do that...actually...me and your dad use to study in college together. I used to explore different places with your dad. We kept in touch after we graduated, but when i heard the bad news about him and the curse. I knew there were dangers ahead of you, Layla Anderson.I promised your dad to look after you, I knew that Kathy is gone...for now.... I tried to protect you but i’m getting weaker and weaker everyday. I really don’t have the ability to do it anymore...i knew Milu would come for you. I already tried my best... Glad that my archery skills saved us.” She said worriedly.

The three of us were in shock for a moment.
“Hey...please don’t talk like that.I knew you did your best, and i really had to thank you.” I patted her shoulder.

“Wait...what do you mean...Kathy is gone for now ?” Caele asked with her eyes wide opened.

“I knew Kathy is still alive, I could see it in my dreams. She was being used by Milu. Luckily, she survived after the incident happened. Her army of gambas built a secret layer and It’s hidden under a train station in London. The king had more evil plans for sure...he wanted to rule the world once again. By turning people into gambas and to persuade them to join his army.” Mrs.Jen said shaking her head.

“But...how can he turn people to gambas ?” Taron asked.

“He uses an ancient spell that no one knows...the only way to break the spell is to find the ancient book of spells and to stop him from turning people into gambas. ”

“How are we going to find the book?” I asked.

“I am not sure. But i got something that may help you through this journey. ”  She took out a key and unlocked an old wooden box. She then took out a necklace (picture above ), a compass and a round glowing ball from it.

“This necklace could transport you to anywhere you want. Just touch one of the beads and thought of the place you wanted to go. You will arrive there eventually. The glowing ball is a deadly weapon, it contains greek fire which could cause a massive explosion, use it wisely. At last, the compass will tell you directions. Easy pisy ! ” She handed us the things.

“Yea...easy...” I thought.

“It’s time for you to go, my heroes. Dangerous tasks are in front of you. You must face them bravely. Save the world, save Kathy.” She said with a smile on her face.

“Thanks Mrs.Jen. Or i should say, Mrs. magic. We will not fail you, i promise.” I said.

So that's how another journey starts, fighting gambas , fighting Milu and saving the world.
