Alone (Secrets book two)

Part 27: Yeah! We All Died.

We walked until our legs became sore. I can’t even feel them.

“Are we there yet...” I said feeling exhausted.

“Thirty minutes to go!” Frodo jumped.
“Gosh...how are you not tired...” Taron muttered.

“Can you just send us there already...” Caele said. “I thought gnomes and elves could do magic.”

“Wait, speaking of magic. I kinda know one travel spell.” The little guy said in embarrassment.

“Why didn’t you tell us earlier !?” I face-palmed.

“Um....” Frodo put his chubby little hand (THIS IS TOO CUTE ALREADY) behind his head awkwardly.
“Sorry ,i rarely do magic. So i forgot i have the ability to do it sometimes.

“It’s ok...” We sighed.
“So...how it works?” Caele asked.

“Please hold hands together and repeat what i said. Hopefully my magic is strong enough to bring the four of us there. ”
We followed his instructions and made a circle by holding each other’s hands.
“Now, the most important part:  Repeat what i say.” We nodded our heads.
“Hear us, the lord of nature and song.
Peccatum Forest is where we now belong! ” He said with his eyes closed, trying his best to concentrate.

Of course, we repeated what he said. (The Peccatum part made me think and stop for a while but gladly , i made it through .)
There was a flash of light and i opened my eyes slowly, we were surrounded by thick and tall trees. And that’s how i know we’re in the right place.

“You did it !” I said giving Frodo i hug.
“I can’t believe i did it ! Yepee!” He said happily. (This guy always gets excited...)

“Wow...” Caele said looking around.
The tall trees seemed to be glowing.

“What’s making the trees glow ?” I asked.

“Oh...you don’t want to go near those trees. We landed at the elves’s  territory.” Frodo shivered. “The dragon lives nearby.”

“Elves are cute !” Caele exclaimed.

“These elves are....not cute at all. If you attack them, they will rip you into little pieces and fed you to the dragon. ” He said.

“Oh....” Caele said, shocked.
“Just pretend i never said that.”

“This way.” Frodo said pointing North. “We will walk pass the dragon’s nest. Just remember to keep it down.” He  whispered. “You don’t want to wake it.”

“Is this the only way ?” Caele asked.

“I’m afraid so.” He replied.

We followed the little guy from behind without making a sound.
Just then, i heard snoring. In front of us lay an enormous, red-scaled fire-breathing dragon. I quickly put a hand over my mouth to steady the breathing. The twenty-foot-tall creature curled up in his nest, sleeping and snoring loudly. His snore was like the sound of an airplane, or worse.
We followed Frodo and tiptoed silently passed its nest.

Here comes the exciting part:
I heard a “crack” and everything went wrong. Smart Taron accidently stepped on a twig , then i heard heavy breathing. The four of us were terrified, I turned around and saw a giant green eye looking at me. That’s when we’re doomed. The creature stood up and breathed fire at us.
That’s when we all died. The end.
