Part 25: We Met A Short Guy

“Oh sorry...let me turn the lights on.” The voice said. I heard a click and the whole cave had brighten up. The stone walls were decorated with colourful paintings, pots of flowers and plants were placed everywhere.
The three of us were amazed, i haven’t seen anything this...nature like since we got here. It’s like an art exhibit inside.

At the middle of the cave, there was a tiny wooden table and a small bed next to it. Teacups and powdered doughnuts were placed on the table, my stomach started to rumble.

“Welcome to my house !” The voice said. “Let me introduce myself. My name is Frodo The gnome ! ” The little man danced happily. He had a long white beard and a little red hat, he’s only as tall as my knee.

“Hello Frodo!” I smiled. “You almost scared the Hades out of me...”

“You are so cute !” Caele screamed and poke him on the face.

“Ow! Stop it ! I am evil!” Frodo did a wicked laugh. (This line makes me think of Will x Nico lol...#solangelo4ever )

“Awwww!” Caele squished his face.

“Frodo the hobbit ?” Taron asked.
“I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS !” He screamed in excitement.
“Is your best friend Sam ?”

“NO, NO AND NO !” The little man shouted.
“Firstly ,Hobbit is not the same as gnomes. Secondly, I am not cute and lastly, I DON’T HAVE FRIENDS!” He frowned.

“Oh gosh...i am so sorry.” I muttered.

“But We can be your friends !” Caele smiled.

“Really ?” Frodo grinned.

“Of course !” Taron said.

“Thanks ! Weeee!” He did a happy dance.
“So what brings you here ?” He asked.
“Oh...we were looking for food and we spotted your cave and we decided to go in and take shelter.” I explained.
“I see...” Frodo scratched his beard.
“Food eh ? I have plenty !” He smiled.
“Come take a seat ! Make yourselves at home !”
He lead us to his tiny table and offered us some doughnuts and tea.

“Thank you so much! ” Caele said taking a big bite of the doughnut.

“Take your time, friends. I have more.” He giggled.

“Frodo, why would you live here? ” I asked.

“I was a prisoner.” He said.“ Milu put me in Creature jail because i stole some bread for my sick mother...” He muttered.

“Creature jail ?” I questioned.

“Oh...that’s were Milu kept his creature prisoners. They are all from fairytales and myths.” He replied.

“That’s not fair !” Caele said angrily.
“Milu has no heart !“

“Luckily i ran away from his castle. I found this cave and i started to live in here.” He said.

“Where is the castle ?” I asked.

“Oh...you don’t want to go there. You will get yourselves killed !” He exclaimed.

“Is the ancient book of spells hidden in there ?” I asked.

“Yes.” He replied.“ But it’s very dangerous.”

“Please tell me how to get to the castle!” I begged. “My friend is in danger! The whole world depends on us....”

“What happened ?” He asked.
I sat down explained everything to him, how Kathy was being used and Milu persuading people to join his army and to destroy the world.
Frodo heard the news and shook his head.

“He is evil...as always.” He muttered.
“Ok, i can help you. His castle was up on the volcano hill, head north and you’ll find it. But be careful, he got an army of monsters. ”

“Thankyou ! ” I said giving him a hug.

After sometime of talking and eating , we ate until we were full.
“I...cannot...eat more...” Taron said with powdered sugar on his mouth, rubbing his belly.

“We’ve got to leave now.” I said.
“Time’s running out.”

“Wait !” Frodo cried before we stepped out of the door.

“Can i please come with you ?” He asked. “No one has ever come to my house for years...i don’t want to be lonely again.” He said with tears in his eyes.
I looked at him and i felt bad for this little guy.

“Okay.” I said.

“Yeah !” He jumped. “I will help you to kick those monster’s butts!” He smiled.

So...that’s how a new member came into our group. Frodo the gnome. we packed our bags and set off to the castle.
