“There ! ” I pointed at the big golden box in front of us.
“The book is hidden in that box, i’ve seen it in my dreams. I’m sure its inside.”
I walked and knelt beside the box. Touching the golden hemmings and brushing off the dust from it. There was a symbol of a hand marked on the lid.
“A code for opening.” I faced my friends. Sure i know some open spells like the Imin ka ta spell i did once and the Alohomora spell from Harry Potter. (I haven’t tried that one yet. ) but this symbol didn’t look familiar to me at all , but it looks like an Aztec symbol for some reason. How do i know ? Reading. (Kids, read more:)
I heard a voice from behind me.
“I know what it means.”
“Caele ?Do you really know ?” Sometimes, i really don’t know what's gone into her. She could do ancient Aztec spells and other weird stuff...She’s been acting so weird lately.
Caele closed her eyes and raised her hands.
“Ma inmo chihcca ! ” She said. A gust of cool wind blew into the room, the ground shook, the gold mountain collapsed. There was a click and the chest opened, reviewing what’s inside. Bright light filled the room,almost making me blind, it’s like starring at the sun directly.
I stumbled over covering my eyes with my hands. I reached into the box and felt a thin scroll of paper, i then slowly pick it up and closed the chest as fast as i could. The light faded, and everything came back to normal.
“I...got it !” I exclaimed waving the scroll in my hands.
“Woohoo! ” Frodo danced happily.
“Layla got the scroll! Layla got the scroll ! ” He sang.
“Thanks Caele.” I hugged her. “You are the one who opened the chest.”
“Welcome. That’s an easy opening spell, to be honest.” She smiled.
I felt good at the moment. I felt like i’ve succeeded a mission. Um...part of a mission. Just when i’m enjoying the moment of “victory” something ruined it. I heard footsteps coming from above, some guards were shouting.
“An earthquake is coming from there! Kill the Humans ! ”
Shoot ! Why do they have to ruin everything !
“Quick ! Hide ! ” I told my friends. I quickly stuff the scroll in my backpack and quickly hid behind some statues with Caele. Taron and Frodo got to the other way and hid behind some gold piles.
The foot steps were getting close, thud, thud, thud. The door swung open, and ten guards came rushing in.
“Find the humans !” One of them ordered. They separated and searched underneath the coins and portraits.
“What should we do?” Caele asked.
“They will find us !”
We were too busy panicking.
“Aha ! ” One of the guards said. We quickly peeked around and saw Taron and Frodo being caught by one of the monster guards.
“I caught two of them, sir.” He laughed.
“Let me go !” Taron shouted.
“Not too easy!” The leader smirked and took of his helmet. We gasped. I can’t believe what’s under the mask, a giant flying monkey ! This is insane!
“Now i’m going to bring you back to the king.” He said.
“Come on, fools !” The guards dragged Taron and Frodo away.
“NOOOO-” Caele screamed. I quickly covered her mouth.
“Shhh! ” I said.
“You don’t want to be spotted. ”
After the guards left, we came out from our hiding place.
“Oh Gods...” Caele stuttered.
“They are going to be fine.” I said.
“We are going to save them.”
