Chapter 5 - Goodbye

Mollie’s POV:

I still can’t believe it...

IM GETTING ADOPTED!

We (Me+Gina+Hal) are currently sat in Hal’s office watching Hal rummage around looking for the adoption papers.

“Got ‘em!” Hal exclaimed her voice full of excitement. You’d think she was happy to see me go. 

She placed them on the desk and I watched in silence as Gina wrote down personal information. It felt like a dream. The final signature. Pen came to paper once more and she scrawled out her signature.

I am officially Mollie-Anne Leigh Brooks!

I officially have a family!

“Finished,” Gina sighed happily. 

Her eyes met mine and we shared a look of utter happiness.

“I love you Mollie, I’m so happy you’re now a Brooks girl. You’ll fit right in and I promise nothing bad will ever happen to you again, I love you darling.” Gina said whilst enveloping me in a hug, which I returned. 

“Thankyou, thankyou so much, I cant believe it, I really cant, I love you Gina.” Wow! That’s the first time I’ve said I love you since my ex. I just let it slip, I mean I guess it felt so right, I do love her, I mean she’s my mum I suppose. 

Shit. 

Do I call her mum or Gina?

I’ll stick to Gina for now.

Gina’s POV:

I honestly couldn’t be happier, I had a beautiful family and now I have a perfect family. I love Mollie, I mean I’ve seen her record and some of its not good but that can be resolved. 

It sort of upset me a little bit that she didn’t call me mum, but I understand that it would be hard, I guess I set my sights a little too high, hopefully she’ll call me mum one day, but I can only hope.

“Go get your bags packed then babe.” I said gently pushing her to the door (AN- Not in a rude way, just saying).

“Ok,” She replied and left, closing the door behind her. 

Robyn’s POV:

I know I shouldn’t listen into conversations but I couldn’t help myself. I sat and listened for the whole time Mollie was with that lady in Hal’s office, what I heard was not good...

She’s getting adopted, which means I’ll be all alone, no one will save me from the other girls. 

I heard the sounds of footsteps from the office and backed away from the door and ran to the stairs, where I sat until Mollie walked past.

“Hey Robyn, what’re you doing?” She asked me.

“What would you care! You’re leaving me just like my mummy and daddy! You’re not my friend anymore and I hate you!” I screamed at her and ran away to the closet in my room.

Mollie’s POV:

I was left thinking “What the fuck!” after Robyn screamed at me. It took me a little longer than it should have to realise what she was talking about.

When it dawned on me, she’d heard that I’d been adopted I ran as fast as I could to her room, the only place she’d be.

“Robyn?” I called softly from outside the door, when she didn’t answer I went in, to my surprise she wasn’t there.
