Chapter 9 - Opening up

Beau’s POV:

After Mollie walked out during dinner the twins and I called Skip and James and invited them over, of course they said yes and it didn’t take them long to get here.

We were all sat in the Living Room just talking about Janoskian video ideas when Luke suggested they should meet Mollie, I mean she is our sister so it would seem pretty far-out if they didn’t.

“I’ll go get her, hang on,” With that Luke sprinted off upstairs to get her.

As soon as Luke left Jai started bad mouthing Mollie again. I couldn’t be bothered to listen to him be a dick so I walked out to get a drink.

I poured myself a glass of milk and began to drink it, thats when I heard Mollie crying and the thunder of feet.

I started walking to the living room and was close enough to hear Jai.

“What the fuck is your problem!? He was just messing around! Calm down you bitch!”

He had seriously over stepped the mark and I went to go and have a go at him but was stopped when I came face to face with a teary Mollie struggling to breathe.

“What’s up Mollie?” I asked her, things had seemed to escalate fairly quickly.

She didn’t reply, but tried to run past me.

Her breathing was still crazily uneven so I picked her up and sat her on my hip, deciding to deal with the boys later.

I walked to my room, shut the door and sat down on my bed with Mollie in my lap.

She clung to me tightly and buried her face in the crook of my neck soaking my tank with her tears.

I rubbed her back gently and tried to hush her.

Her breathing didn’t seem to calm down so I cradled her like a child and rocked her back and forth. This seemed to have an almost instant effect and she relaxed entirely.

I waited a little longer until her sniffles were barely unnoticeable, then I sat her infront of me despite her best efforts to stay wrapped around me.

“You ok?” I asked her as she wiped her eyes.

She didn’t say anything just nodded shakily and hummed in response.

“Well I don’t think that’s the truth is it? Huh? What happened Mollie? I know you put up this rebel act, mum told me, but, even though I’ve known you for all of a few hours I can tell just how broken you are. Talk to me? Tell me everything because I honestly love you and I can help you.”

I was begging her to tell me what was really going on, I know there is so much none of us know. Mum hasn’t let me see her record, she says its a personal thing, so I need Mollie to tell me, I need her to be alright.

Mollie’s POV:

I was staring into Beau’s eyes, he was worried, every word he had spoken was coated in honesty and I knew I could trust him...but, telling people things is really hard for me, I have misplaced by trust too many times to wear it on my sleeve.

“If I t-t-tell you, will you s-s-still love m-me?” I stuttered out, if he was going to know I needed to know he wouldn’t disregard me like so many others.

“Mollie, I will always love you, you are my sister, my little sister, and to me you are not some adopted kid I just met and have to get along with. You are my real little sister, I want, no, I need you to know that I am here for you always and nothing you ever do will stop me loving you ok babe. Now come on over here and tell me what’s going on?”
