 Chapter 8 -  Worked up

Jai’s POV:

“Beau, Luke, Jai, Mollie! Dinner’s ready!” Mum yelled, interrupting the current argument between me and Luke. 

“I swear Jai, if you make it uncomfortable for her at dinner, mum will never forgive you, and me and Beau will beat the shit out of you!” Luke tried to sum up the argument.

Doesn’t he see it?

“Luke, can’t you see it? We are already arguing more than usual, and it’s all that girls fault!” 

“Seriously Jai? First off that girl is my sister, our sister and she has a name, Mollie. Second off the only one causing arguments here is you, I’m going for dinner, don’t be a dick yeah?” Luke replied giving me disappointed look and walking to the door.

I didn’t say anything, just shot him a hate filled glare which he didn’t even see. I Pushed past him and ran downstairs. 

Luke managed to catch up with me and we strolled into the dining room only to find Beau and I think it’s Mollie sat at the table.

Her head snapped up when we walked in, she looked at Luke first and they shared a smile, when she turned to me however I simply glared at her.

I saw sadness flash upon her face. I didn’t feel guilty at all. I continued to make myself a drink, before sitting next to Luke and opposite Mollie

It was an awkward silence until Mum brought dinner in.

“Enjoy!” She exclaimed making Mollie jump.

A chorus of thankyou’s were replied. 

“Boys, I’m going out this evening with Sarah, I’ll probably stay at hers. The house is yours for tonight. If you want Skip and James can come over but don’t make a mess and look after Mollie.” 

At the mention of having the house to ourselves, our faces lit up but when Mum mentioned Skip and James, Mollie seemed to get a little tense. 

I don’t care though, tonight is going to be great! Even if we have to share a house with this bitch.

“Bye!” Mum called out heading for the door.

Mollie jumped up and ran in the same direction as mum.

Gina’s POV: 

“Bye!” I called out, just about to leave. 

All of a sudden I heard the patter of running feet, that’s when I saw Mollie come round the corner. 

“What’s up?” I asked her.

She just stood with a scared expression on her face. 

I walked up to her and wrapped her in a hug and she held onto me tightly, I rubbed her back gently as she seemed to be shaking.

“What’s wrong hey?” I asked her pulling her away from me.

“Nothing, I just wanted to say bye.” She said quietly.

“Ok sweet-heart. You’ll be ok, Beau’s here and Luke and Jai. I’ll be back tomorrow, my number’s in the kitchen if you need it. Have a nice night. Love you.” I reassured her, placing a kiss on her forehead. 

“Love you too, Bye.” She replied and she watched as I left out the door.

She’d be ok, but it did make me wonder why she was so worried. I’d talk to her about it another time.
