Chapter 16 - Sometimes (Part 2) 

Mollie’s POV: 

“...Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is just an oncoming train.” 

After releasing everything in an attempt to make Beau understand I was sure that what I was about to do was the best thing. 

Whilst I remained still as ever, my breathing barely noticeable, Beau was a shaking mess and for what felt like the first time he was entirely silent and I had made him understand. 

I could see it ticking through his mind a little too slowly. When he look up and his eyes met mine, though he said nothing his eyes screamed for me to step away, pleading for me to walk into his arms, asking to be woken up from this nightmare. 

I heard the train. I turned my head to face and watched it draw ever closer. 

I heard Beau collapse behind me, I heard his desperate cries and his hollowing whimpers but this was right. 

I breathed deeply and stepped forward, to the edge of the platform. 

In that moment everything seemed to happen so fast...

A force collided with me, yet it wasn’t the train I hoped it would be.

I was knocked to the floor by Luke and Jai.

I watched as the train went straight past. 

Tears built up and began to stream down my face, I could only wish I had jumped sooner.

“Why would you do that!?” I screamed, my voice hoarse and my breathing choked up.

“Why would you stop me!? I wanted to fucking die! Don’t you understand? I’m going to keep trying and it will only upset you more! You should have let me fucking jump!” 

I banged against the ground. 

“We love you Mollie! Why is it that you can’t see that!? We don’t want you anywhere else but here with us! If we’d have let you jump, we would never have ever forgotten it, we would never forgive ourselves. You are our little sister and we really fucking love you Mollie! How could you be so selfish? Do you know what this would do to Mum? Look at Beau, you were going to fucking kill yourself and you didn’t think of us, of our feelings. We love you Mollie, can you just fucking listen to me this time!?” Luke yelled at me.

Luke pulled me into his chest and held me so tightly I didn’t think I’d get out, ever. Jai wrapped himself around my other side and Beau dragged himself over and held all of us.
