Chapter 6 - Welcome Home

Mollie’s POV:

Me and Gina walked down the road in silence until we came to a small silver car (A/N - I don’t know what car Gina actually has, not that the car actually matters).

She pulled out a pair of keys and unlocked the boot/trunk of the car.

“Just put your bags in there Mollie,” Gina said and after I’d done so she shut the boot/trunk again.

I waited until Gina had climbed into the driver seat before clambering into the backseat.

“Mollie...What’re you doing babe?” Gina questioned me.

“Getting in the car?” I replied with the same amount of confusion she had in her voice when she asked me the question.

“Oh,” She laughed “You can sit in the passenger seat if you want, I just assumed you would, feel free to sit in the back if you like though.” She finished, stating either option, I decided to stay put. I had already buckled my seatbelt, and it would only waste time.

“I’ll just sit here,” I smiled at her, she nodded and put her seatbelt on.

Gina’s POV:

I was a little bit confused when Mollie didn’t get in the passenger seat and after she told me she’d just sit in the back I was kind of worried. I brushed it off though and nodded at her, accepting she was already comfortable. I put my seatbelt on and started the car,

I put on the radio and had it at a reasonable volume and then I began to drive home.

We were only a little way down the road of the Orphanage when I watched concern flash across Mollie’s face as she was looking out the window. I didn’t see what she was looking at, I’d ask her later.

I kept driving, occasionally checking on Mollie in the mirror. She seemed a mix of scared and happy, I wondered how long it would be until her true colours started showing.

I’ve read her report and I know she can be a bit of a trouble-maker, and most of the time she is quite aggressive and argumentative. I hope she doesn’t do anything to get on the wrong side of the boys however there seems to be a part of her that is worried, I wonder if that’s to do with meeting the boys, I heard she had a bit of trouble with male members of previous families.

I decided I’d talk with her later. I turned the music up a little louder and sung along in my head.

Mollie’s POV:

Just as we were driving away, I looked out the window only to see Mason and Aiden glaring at me.

See Mason and Aiden are part of the gang I hang around with and seeing them only made me remember how I forgot to mention to the gang I was going. I’d like to think they’d brush it off and forgive me but I knew it would be like that.

In our group, you don’t just ‘forget’ to inform the others if you’re going some-place especially if its possibly long term.

I pulled out my phone and sent a group text to Mason, Aiden and the others.

To: Aiden, Mason, Alice and Levi

Hey, I’m really sorry, I left short notice and didn’t have time to see you guys, I’m not moving far I don’t think, I’ll text you’s a place at some point and you can meet me? x

I sent the text, hoping they’d be cool about it.

I put my phone back in my pocket and watched as Gina turned up the radio. I saw her glance back at me in the mirror a few times as if she thought I’d disappear.
