Chapter 18 - Family? Home?
Mollie’s POV:
I sat in Luke’s lap with my head pressed firmly to his chest.
I hadn’t been here all that long, in the family I mean, but already I had managed to upset them.
“Do they hate me?” I asked Luke “Is this the point where I go back and never see you’s again?”
Luke sighed audibly and pried me from his chest, he sat me infront of him and he held my face gently
“Mollie, none of us hate you, never baby, never. This family has been through every war and we always came out ready for the next. Mum loves you more than you understand and Beau, well you’re his world. Jai had strong feelings against you until he realised how special you were, he loves you Mol. As for me, I could never have asked for anyone else to come into this family, into my life, I think you are the best thing in this world right now and it kills me that you don’t see it.”
Luke caressed my cheek.
“And no, we are not sending you back, definitely not. Could you imagine the fights we’d put up to keep you. You’re not going anywhere, not now, not ever. You’re our only little sister and I assure you, with three older brothers, you are staying right here where we can see you” He winked
“No boyfriends or drinking and no more smoking” He said jokingly but some of it was meant seriously.
I threw myself around him and wrapped my little arms as tightly around him as I could
“Thankyou Lukey” I smiled
“You don’t need to thank me Mol, I’ve got your back” Luke replied as he pressed a kiss to my forehead.
We sat for 10 minutes enjoying each others warmth and company, and we were both startled when the front door slammed shut and a dash of footsteps were heard.
All of a sudden Jai and Beau burst through the bedroom door and bundled us.
We all laughed loudly and I began to squirm as the tickled me, that was when Gina wondered in.
Everything was silent as she looked at us.
She didn’t say anything but after a few tension filled minutes she sprang on us and began to join the mess of bodies as we tickled one another and laughed.
Gina’s POV:
I saw the looks of uncertainty as I stood in the doorway, my children infront of me, all barely children but acting no older than 8.
