Chapter 12 - We need to talk (part 2)

Beau’s POV:

“Mollie, we need to talk,”

As soon as Mum said it, I knew what she was talking about. I pushed myself to my feet, stumbling a little and helped Mollie up afterwards.

Mum walked through to the kitchen and I gently ushered Mollie in the same direction.

Once Mollie walked out I turned to the twins.

“You two should probably go out somewhere for a bit, I don’t know how Mollie will re-act but I’ll explain everything later ok?” I said with a hushed tone.

They merely nodded, slid on some shoes and left.

I sighed and walked to the dining room where Mum was sat opposite Mollie at the table.

I pulled out the chair next to Mollie and sat down.

Gina’s POV:

I didn’t know how Mollie would re-act for what I am about to tell her, despite reading her records and such I don’t know a lot about her...Or what sets her off.

I had text Beau earlier that day and explained the situation.

Needless to say I found out about her smoking but that would be dealt with later.

I walked through to the dining room and sat down, Mollie followed after me with a scared and confused expression plastered on her face. She took the seat opposite me.

Shortly after hearing the front door close, Beau walked in and sat down next to Mollie.

Mollie’s POV:

I was sat opposite Gina when I heard the door shut. Then Beau walked in, he sat next to me and I was left to assume Luke and Jai had gone out.

I guess Beau knew what was going on.

Were they sending me back to the orphanage?

Beau slid his arm around my shoulder and Gina took my hands in hers.

“Mollie, something terrible has happened and before I tell you, you need to promise me you’ll stay calm?” I was now entirely confused.

I just nodded in response and waited for her to continue.

She took a deep breath and I felt Beau tense around me.

“Hallie, from the orphanage phoned me today with some very sad news, the little girl Robyn-”

“No, No, No, No,” I repeated shaking my head not giving her time to continue.

“Mollie, babe, monster calm down, you need to know the rest,” Beau tried hushing me.

When I didn’t stop he pulled me into his lap and rocked us both as I covered my ears.

“She died,” Gina finished with a sympathetic look on her face.

I screamed.

I pulled myself off Beau’s lap falling to the floor and I screamed.

I screamed for her. For myself. Tears ran freely down my face and my breathing was erratic.

My, near enough, little sister is dead.

I never said goodbye and now I’d never get a chance to get her out of that orphanage.

She was really dead and I would never see her smile again, never watch her eyes light up.

I ached, my body ached, my heart ached.
