'Their thinking slows to a crawl, and they misjudge their options. This task is merely a small warm-up session. Any chef who is daunted by something like this isn't needed at Totsuki.'

"Umm, excuse me Inui-sensei." Rei suddenly appears next to the brunette eating chips. Almost choking from the sudden appearance, purple eyes meets black.

"Hmm? Is there anything you need?" Inui responded like nothing was wrong. Calming down her sudden reaction to the jump scare, Rei's onyx eyes trails down to the tea next to her.

"As you said before, we can use anything within the premises of this private area." Inui nods with a question mark floating above her head, wondering what she's going for. "Then may I use your tea that you have next to you?" Smiling softly, she points her index finger at the tea set.

"Huh?" Looking down next her, she meets Rei's eyes again. "Anything but my tea!" With her two hands between the tray, she protects it from the predator as her eyes glistens with a sudden spark.

"But you said so yourself. Not too long ago you said that we can use anything." Stretching the word 'anything', she continues. "And that means that tea you were going to drink." Smiling innocently, imaginary flowers blooms behind her.

"Hmph! I did say that didn't I?" Folding her arms together, she glances behind her shoulder and went to a depressive mood. "Fine, take it and hurry up!" Nodding, Rei took the tray in her hands securely and walks back to her station.

Once she reached her station, she sets the tray onto the counter next to a boiling hot pot of water with the fish inside to steam. Setting the lid down, she picks up the tea pot and pours half of the content inside, covering half of the fish. With the other remaining green tea, she pours it into the not so very much water and puts the lid back on. Putting the tea pot back onto the tray, she picks it up and places it on the other side of her working, so that it doesn't bother her anymore.

With the fish still steaming, Rei steps to the side and starts slicing the ginger she has into thin strings, chop the white mushrooms into small white squares then proceeded to breaking baby spinach into tiny little pieces. Already washing them beforehand, she puts the finished product into a side bowl. Leaving her work station for a bit, she walks to the door not too far from her since its in the far back.

Opening it, a large room filled with a wide range of ingredients is displayed before the onyx eyes. With shelves high up on the air to the I cannot see the end wall, Rei starts to spend her free time looking for any suitable extra ingredients to the dish she thought off at the top of her head not too long ago.

Closing the door with her foot, she smiles in satisfaction, thinking that her dish might turn out better than expected. Quickly remembering about the fish she left steaming, she hurriedly stops the fire and takes the fish out with a clean kitchen towel so that she doesn't burn her fingers. Setting the tray next to a chopping board, she puts on some plastic gloves begins to remove the grey skin with a fish knife and spoon after pouring the little green tea into a separate bowl.  Discarding the not necessary skin, she chops of the head and fin, only to be left with the body and bones. Scraping some fish meat into a clean kitchen towel opened wide, she picks the cloth up and twists it then proceeded squeezing all the water and moisture out to make it as dry as possible.

Opening it, she puts the fish flakes into a large glass bowl and starts sprinkling in the seasoning she found and putting in the ginger and mushrooms. Picking up a wooden spatula, she begins to mix the flakes and seasoning together in slicing motions, just like how a sushi chef will prepare it's rice.

After mixing the ingredients together, Rei begin to prep her bowl. Scooping a little more than a handful of fish flakes, she gentle forms it into a ball, making sure not to squeeze it too much. Carefully placing it into a smallish black bowl, she turns around and opens the rice cooker. Taking a small portion of white rice, she places it on her hand and grimace from the heat. Quickly pressing it down with her palms and forming it into a small circle, Rei puts it on top of the fish and gently presses it down so that they will still have the spherical shape.

Rushed footsteps comes closer to the room. Knowing that the students are quickly returning, Rei hurriedly tries her best to finish her dish. Picking up a small jar of something that resembles shiny orange-ish tiny balls, she carefully scoops it up with a small metal spoon and place it at the top of the rice. Sprinkling the tiny spinach she ripped over the dish, she finally tops it with some parsley.

Leaning back up, Rei squeezes her eyes shut from the intense concentration and wipe her forehead with the back of her hand. Looking and the finished product, a ball of what looks like snow is topped with bright skin salmon roe, parsley and spinach. Discarding the plastic gloves, she picks up the bowl with her two hands and walks through the kitchen as she ignores onlookers comments.

"Oh! Your finished!" Inui suddenly spots the approaching black haired from the running children going to their stations. Meeting her eyes, she sets her bag of chips down and hols up a pair of chopsticks.

"Yes, I hope that you will like it Inui-sensei." Giving the bowl to her, Rei pushes up her spectacles with her index fingers. Softly balling her hands to fists, they begins to sweat. Knowing that she might pass barely like usual back at Totsuki, she prays for the best result from one of her many past tutors.

"This looks appatising." With a soft smile, she picks up a small portion of fish, rice and roe. Putting it into her mouth, everyone waits for the results.

Inui's eyes snaps open wide. With the chopsticks still in her mouth, a blissful scenery of her in a water valley filled with green tea plants bursts into her mind. "Ouahhhh!" Holding her cheek with her hand occupied with the chopsticks, her head slightly bend back with a joyful expression on her face. Purple eyes sparkles like amethyst gemstones as a bing gush of wind blew in her mind. Sending the fresh green tea scent into her nose from her imagination, Inui continues to eat with bright light in her eyes.

Finally finishing the bowl, she sets it down next to her with the chopsticks on top of it. "For a moment there, looking at you drain the moisture out of the fish caught me in suprise." Students stares at the back of the black head. Wondering how and why the chef of the previous graduate from the 80th generation completely ate her dish, happily, her classmates stands shocked the most. Wondering where the usual clumsy girl that is always throwing a bunch of ingredients into a pot and hopes for the best to pass, just seeing the mouthwatering dish made them gulp in satisfaction. "But eating this food right now, it completely complements the moist rice and salmon roe busting with juices. Plus the raw mushrooms that you added gave that tender feel into the fish since it was a bit dry. Is this perhaps your creation of ochazuke?" With a palm on her cheek,  Inui sighs with happiness. Still tasting the lingering green tea on her tongue, it never came across her mind that one of the students will ever take one of her snacks of drink.

"Yes," Relaxing from the complement that she received, Rei knows that she will pass.

"Ahh~" Sighing again a peaceful expression is on Inui's face. "Next time when me meet, make that for me again." Everyone but Rei stares with wide eyes and mouth open. Even with the very few students there, they will surely tell the rest when they return.

"So I take it that I pass?" Tilting her head in a slight degree, Rei asks for reassurance. Inui nods in response, still fantasising about the blissful scenery. "Then it you excuse me, ill be waiting in the bus." Bowing, Rei begins to make her way out of the room.

'That girl is going to survive the boot camp. Good thing that I'll see her again.' Glancing at the back of the student she has yet asked of the name of, a faint shadow of her favourite and only apprentice she took in for six months takes over her eyes for a split second. 'No, it can't be.' Shaking her head, the shadow disappears from her sight and replaced with the fatty girl not knowing that she was only wearing clothes three times her size.

This chapter doesn't make any sense. Well, to me. Unedit.
