Chapter 10

"Then this is the exact reason why you should take responsibility, Shinomiya." A sharp voice comes from the door. Looking at the next intruder and interrupter, they all gasp again to see a man that they will never believe to see again, standing in front of them. Leaning against the door with his arms and ankles crossed together is the first seat of the elite ten, Tsukasa Eishi. "This is why Tadokoro-san tried to compensate for that by being creative." His sharp white eyes glances at the blue headed twin braids. "If you try and fire them using your authority as a chef, then I can have then continue their journey as a student in Totsuki using my authority as the first seat." Standing up straight, he walks up to Shinomiya. Like seeing through his plan, he red hair tch in annoyance.

Rei glances up to see Tsukasa like that. With a small smile on her face, she hides it as she pushed her glasses up to the top of her nose.

"But that will be so much work! The paperwork will be so much already! Doing Kobayashi's share is already enough but I can't have such great chefs leave right here. I can always have other ways to have them stay. Just li--"

"Pffff!!" Holding her hands into fists tighter, Rei tries not to laugh.

"--it won't be that hard. But then the--"

Unable to take it anymore, Rei tries to calm her laughter as she just found a solution. "Shinomiya-sensei," Doing it without stuttering, she takes another deep breathe. "I'm Morihaki Rei and the student who was late to your class."

"Then, I just hope that you already know that you're fir--"

"But how about we all settle this the old fashioned way?" With a strangely sweet smile, she looks at the irritated Shinomiya. "If I beat you in a shokugeki, you will rescind Tadokoro and my expulsion." Unlike before, Rei's eye sent Shinomiya looking at her in shock. Suddenly feeling a vibe so much different from before, the aura around Rei is tremendously different.

The loud banging sound outside the mansion floods into the room. The deadly loud rain is so loud that it seem like a storm was coming. However, whoever was inside the kitchen knows that a far deadlier storm is fast approaching.

"Shokugeki," Shinomiya flicks his glasses from the middle. "That word brings me back to memories!"

"What's that nobody girl doing?"

"Shell be up against an alumnus, a former first seat of the elite ten, at that."

"Not to mention, he's Chef Shinomiya, a seasoned veteran from the front lines of the food industry!"

Dispose the loud rain hitting the glass panel and the suffocating aura that Rei was emitting, the students inside bitters about her sudden exclamation of war.

"A shokugeki invvong an opponent who's not currently a student is not without precedent. But it does require the consent of both parties, doesn't it? Sorry, I have no intention of accepting a shokugeki challenge situated by a person who cannot keep her appearance neat." With a hand on his hips, he was about to walk away until a hand touches his shoulder.

"Then how about I challenge you to a shokugeki, Shinomiya-sensei?" Yukihira has a dark shadow over his eyes. Keeping him in place, he doesn't allow him to move.

"Well, let's not be too hasty." And again, everyone looks at the door to see who is going to join in. "You seem to have quote the interesting situation here, Shinomiya." With his elbow against the mohagony door, his large, wide body covers two extra people behind him.

"Hmm?" Stepping to the side, Inui Hinako looks at the scene in front of her with wondering eyes.

"Hey! Look who I brought!" Jumping out behind Dojima, Kobayashi has white box on her left hand, opened and exposed with cupcakes, while the other holds Rei's delicious creation. "As thanks for making the best cupcakes in the world! I brought backup!" With a proud grin on her face, she ignores the mess she makes at the corner of her mouth.
