"Helena, we have good news and bad news both combined in one", Helena's mum addressed.
"Tell me!", Helena advised.
"Your father and I have to head back to Malaysia early tomorrow morning, for business issues."
"Oh, okay. I was hoping it would be more surprising but...sure!"
"Honey, can we trust you to be at home for two weeks? Alone?"
"Mum, I have to learn independence one day, am I right?"

"Hun, are we completely sure about leaving Lena home alone? What if something happens?", Helena's dad bugged her mum.
"Helena can do things on her own. Besides, the plane is fully booked and there is no point taking her anyways, she'll be so bored during the office meetings!", Helena's mum clarified.
"There's no way out of it then. Helena, your mother and I are leaving very early tomorrow morning. All the food you need is in the fridge. You can go to the restaurant just around the corner of our block if you feel like it."
"Yes. Take good care of yourself and if you're scared or anything, you know the boy you should call! Here's a hint, his name starts with a J."

Helena's parents started discussing on the sofa about packing and business while Helena entered her room.
She jumped on her bed with happiness and excitement.
She could go to The Annual Classical Concert to watch William play, and she had all the freedom to do whatever she wanted.
Girls' night out? Check.
Movies with friends? Check.
Date with Jordan or William? Check.
MAKING BAD CHOICES? CHECK!

"Helena. I almost forgot, here is my book about the adventures you've had with Jordan. I have been adding to this ever since the day you two met. There are pictures for every story in this book, and I think it is something that can keep you occupied while I'm gone.", Helena's mum insisted, handing the book over to Helena.

Helena opened the book and immediately couldn't stop reading.

There was the time when Jordan piggybacked Helena across a muddy puddle, the time the adult group convinced an adorable little Jordan to plant a small kiss on a young Helena's cheek, and the time when Jordan and Helena created funny dances to different songs they liked. All the great moments Helena had with Jordan were all documented in this book.

"Thanks mum", Helena mouthed.
