The heartbeat detector was flat. Jordan's heart had stopped.
"This won't work! It's already too late!", Helena cried.
William looked away from her teary face and started to play anyways.
"William, he's dead! STOP ALREADY!", Helena shouted.
"Helena, you have to believe in me. Calm down!", William commanded.

Helena held back her tears and adjusted her violin to her chin. She started to play her part in the duet.
She stared at the unchanging heart rate monitor. Just a flat line.
William and Helena kept playing, to no progress.

Once the song was finished Helena was brought to the sound of the endless screech. Jordan still lay there, unconscious. His mother stormed into the room and grabbed Helena's violin, throwing it out the window. She shouted remorseful remarks at Helena and William, only to be taken back by her husband again.

Helena fell onto her knees.
"Jordan...words cannot describe my guilt...sorry will never cut it. I am a liar. I cheated on you this whole time. I am responsible for your death. I still remember that time when we were younger and so much more innocent. You told me your dream, to become a professional violinist. You tried so hard, yet you just couldn't seem to improve. I was meant to help you, give you faith and hope, so that maybe you could become much better...but...I didn't."
Helena wrapped her hand around Jordan's, feeling his ice cold blood.
"I have no excuse for myself. I shouldn't have been so stupid. I should have remained faithful and true to you. I did love you, but I just wasn't mature enough to make the right decisions. I flipped out at you...I treated you like you were given to me for granted. I'm...I'm just way beyond sorry..."

Jordan's mother walked beside Helena and wiped off her tears with her sleeve.

William bit his lip, and placed his violin down. He walked towards Jordan's corpse.
He looked down at Jordan's face, and placed his hand on Jordan's freezing chin.
William slowly bent over the bed and locked his lips onto Jordan.

Helena and Jordan's mother watched in horror as William snogged Jordan.
All of a sudden, the heart rate monitor started to beep again. Louder and louder.
Helena couldn't believe it. Did Jordan just become revived?

William cut his contact with Jordan and looked down for any response. Jordan's eyes started to flick.
They opened, revealing his shiny pupils to William.
William smiled gently at Jordan, as their hands met in a loving grip. Helena was quite speechless, standing as a spectator.

"I would love to...know you better...William...", Jordan coughed.
