CHAPTER 13
Inspiration
-JC-
I rolled around in bed, trying to get that weird memory of me and Kyousuke out of my mind. Still, my mind kept bugging me. "Your faces were that close! You should've grabbed that chance!" it said. "Arghhh!" I growled, rolling around and around. "Dammit!"
"Perhaps a hug can help."
"ARGH!" I shouted in frustration.
Eye to eye, foreheads and noses touching, all it needed was a few more centimeters before kissing.
"Get out!" I was messing my hair in pent-up hate. "Hate, hate, hate, hate!"
"Imagine yourselves, in this room, together..."
"Screw it!"
"Alone..."
"Get it out of my head!"
"With the door locked and bolted and the chilly night wanting you to get warm with her..."
I rolled around furiously, banging my head on the headboard.
"And your long-kept hormones kick in..."
I winced in pain from the hit, but the thoughts never left my head. "This is so humiliating!"
"What is?" a very familiar, sushi voice asked.
"Get out of my sight!" I shouted at Kyousuke. He cocked his head to the side in an adorable manner that didn't help me at all. "Why?" he asked.
"I can't take you out of my head you dense idiot! That very presence of yours is making the job harder! Argh!"
"Me? In your head? For what reason?"
"I'll tell you later, dammit! Too much questions. Get out!"
He gently closed the door behind him. I continued hitting my head on the headboard, not minding the sharp pain.
"I'm here for you, even if you still hate me because of our fight. I'll be here. Just let me know if those feelings in your heart need to be get out."
"Darn it!" I rested my forehead on my palm.
"And since you made it for me, you should let me eat it."
"ARGH!" I uttered one last growl, and gave up. "I hate this!" I stood up and opened the door. The one owning my thoughts at the very moment was sitting on the corner beside the door. "You can come in, fine."
"Thanks, I thought you wouldn't stop banging that head of yours into something flat and hard- judging from the sounds you made."
Flat and hard, like my not-so-gifted chest. I didn't reply. "I was concerned, you know? I was worried if you might--" He stopped and checked my forehead. "As expected. Come on, let's treat it."
What he said made my thoughts spin further. 'I was concerned, you know' my ass! He was making my problem worse!
When we got inside, I suddenly felt shy and awkward being with him. I bet my face is so red right now. He made me sit down in my bed while he fetched some ice. He returned empty handed. "Want to come with me to Luke's room? I think he has some ice there."
"S-sure."
When we arrived inside his room, Erin was also there. She grabbed my shoulders and shook me when she saw the bruise on my forehead. "What did you do, JC? It looks so red and big and horrible!"
