Lord, you give to me a brand new day
A day that is different than the one before
Filled with new blessings, joy and peace
All turmoil in my heart at this moment will cease.
You are God, the same yesterday, today and forever
Your love, grace and mercy abound and cease- it will never
You are God and though this knowledge the world denies
You alone are God, this heart of mine constantly cries.
So Lord before your throne I come
Giving you thanks for the day though its only half done
And tonight by my bed when I kneel to pray
I will look back and say, Lord I thank you for another glorious day!
