A Dedicated Heart

God, this is what I pray

Don't let me sin or go stray

Keep me anchored in your love

As only you can answer my prayer from above.

I know I have committed a lot of sin

But without your love, mercy and grace

Lord, I can never win.

My body belongs to you it's your temple

I know you alone are God

And before you I humbly kneel and tremble.

You see me like no one else does

Because you formed me from my head to my toes.

You alone know my going out and coming in

Lord, I beseech you, keep me from committing any sin.

My love for you is stronger than anything

And I give myself to you My Lord and King

It's in you a lone I find joy to sing

You are my God, Lord and Saviour, my everything.

My heart sings for joy

As in you I avoid the Devil's ploy

As he seeks means and ways to catch me in his clutches

As I panic, you say, Peace be still" and oh how my heart hushes!

Be still and know that I am God

Are the words I hear as I onward plod

And though the thunders roll and storm roars

Trusting in you God is my hear soars.

So no matter what and comes what may

He says "I am God and am here to stay.

Keep your mind on me and trust and pray

Because this with faith will chase the Devil away."

"Be still, be strong" are the word I heard Him say

As He takes my hand and leads the way.
