Monopoly - Alec

Alec reached the house, lugging his one big red suitcase inside. He walked inside, seeing all his friends indulging in a fun board game. They all looked at him, as if he interrupted a conversation that was talking bad about him.

"Sup Alec, finally you arrive!" Said his friend Adam. "We were all here for like a half an hour before you arrived." I smiled, because I'm always the last one to arrive, for every event we would all go to.

"So what are you guys playing?" Alec asked. He scanned the large board with game pieces on it. He walked over to the light switch, to turn on the large headlight above the table.

"We're playing Monopoly." Mutters Destiny. She focuses on the game, for it is her turn. "I'll buy this space." She tells the rest of them. Adam, Fabian, PJ, Delaney, Maddie, and Samantha, and Sydney groan.

"With that space, she completes the set. Now she's DEFINITELY gonna win." Groans PJ. He has the least amount of houses on the board. "Well, I'm bankrupt." PJ exclaims, and throws all his Monopoly money in the air.

"C'mon PJ. You can't quit. There is no quitting, no matter how bad the situation is. The games not over until the fat lady sings alright!" Fabian assures PJ.

"Yeah that's right!" Everyone agrees with Fabian... except Maddie. Maddie and Fabian hate each other, ever since Fabian took the head of her favorite barbie doll when we were six.

"Seriously Maddie, you haven't gotten over the decapitation of Ms. Simmons?" Samantha asks here. "That was like 5 or 6 years ago." Maddie squints her eyes at Sam.

"MS. SIMMONS WAS MY FAVORITE DOLL!!!" Maddie exclaims at Samantha, then proceeds to try and strangle Fabian, for the 1600th time. Delaney grabs her body so she can't go any further to attack Fabian.

"C'mon guys. Let's just finish this game. Let's not start fighting. The game is almost done." Delaney says. Maddie sits down, her face as red as a tomato, and snatches her Monopoly money. They start again, Sydney rolling the dice. She rolls a 9, which makes her land on a Go To Jail spot.

"DAMNIT!" Yells Sydney. She slams her piece on the Jail spot.

"CALM DOWN!" We all yell at Sydney.

"You always get like this." Destiny says. "It's just a game okay. No need to get angry ok." Destiny assures Sydney.

"Maybe you're right. Well, on that note, I quit." She smiles as she puts her money back in the box. 20 minutes had gone by and believe or not, Sam ended up winning.

"Hahaha. Destiny lost!" Sam cracks up. She starts to cry of laughter while Destiny groans and puts her money back in the box. Just then, a loud crunching noise is heard in the distance, like the sound of branches breaking. "What was that?" Sam asks, her laughter coming to a fast halt.
