Delaney is hidden under the small bed in the 2nd bedroom on the left side of the wall on the first floor. She had one encounter with the killer, but he did not find her. She breathed unevenly, trying to catch her breath. She had tears in her eyes, expecting the last moments of her short life to near. She payed under the bed on her stomach for around an hour, hoping that the killer was gone, but knowing the killer won't spare anyone's life.
"I hate this." Delaney whispered quietly to no one. She laid her head on the dusty floor, relaxing her tense body. She was very uncomfortable, but she did not dare get out from under the bed, fearing the killer would hear her movements. She shifted her knees, trying to get more comfortable.
Once in a while she would hear the loud footsteps on the wooden floor, walking within the halls. This was just a sick game of hide and seek, with no end in sight. The killer entered the room she was in. Delaney held her breath, hoping to not get heard.
She saw his large black boots at the close to the bed. She closed her eyes and cried, hoping she would get out of here soon.
"Gotcha." The killer said. He reached under the bed. Delaney screamed, with no place to move. She got out of the bed, hoping to make a run for it out of the door. That plan failed horribly. She ran, only to get hit by a wrench in the head, knocking her out cold.
Once she came to, she was still a little dizzy. She looked around, not being able to recognize where she was. She stood up and looked around, confused. What's going on? Delaney thought to herself. Once her vision became less blurry, she realized where she was, in the house's basement.
Even more horrifying, she noticed Alec and Sydney tied to a chair, their hands and ankles tied to the chair by a thick rope. They was a glass barrier separating her and them. Sydney and Alec started to regain their consciousness, looking around.
"What's going on?" Sydney asked, more aware than Alec. She looked around, and noticed she couldn't get out of the chair. "Hey!" She yelled, trying to release herself from the chair. There was a gun on a table on Delaney's side of the glass barrier. She realized what she would have to do, and she wasn't prepared.
"Wha-What's going on?" Alec asked. He fully regained consciousness as well.
"Well, well, well. Look at what we have here." The killer said, coming from a dark corner in the room.
"Get away from me!" Delaney exclaimed. She backed up from where the killer was walking. "You MONSTER!" Delaney yelled. The killer chuckled.
"After this, you will be the monster." The killer assured. He laughed, a typical evil laugh.
"What do you mean?" Delaney asked him.
"Youuu get to chose who lives, and who dies." The killer told her. Delaney nodded her head, as if this was all a sick dream. Sydney and Alec started getting frantic as well, knowing that each of them had a 50% chance of dying. "What you need to do is walk into their room with this gun" he picked up the small pistol "and choose who dies. And you have 20 seconds to choose, or else you, Sydney, and Alec die a slow, painful death." The killer informed her. Delaney had no choice but to agree to his sick game.
She picked up the gun, and walked inside the room. Sydney and Alec were crying, pleading for them to be spared. "Delaney, please don't kill me. I don't want to die!" Sydney pleaded.
"20, 19, 18..." The time went on. Delaney was nervous, her whole body was shaking as she walked side to side, contemplating who should die and who should live.
"Delaney. Please. I-I-I" Alec stuttered "I have a crush on you, and if I'm going to die today, I would want you to know that." Alec cried. Delaney started crying as well, her tears temporarily blocking her vision of her two friends and the situation. That's too bad. Delaney thought.
"8, 7, 6..." The count continued. Delaney took a deep breath, as she decided who she was going to pick. She stood in front of Sydney, pointing the gun at her. Sydney braced herself.
"I'm sorry." Delaney said, as she quickly pointed the gun at Alec's skull and pulled the trigger. Alec's brain splattered and there was blood everywhere. Delaney crouched down, letting the fact sink in that she killed someone. Sydney balled, not wanting to see her deceased friend sitting ten feet away from her.
"Wow, nice to make it a twist ending." The killer said with a sadistic tone in his voice.
"Shut up you sick bastard." Delaney told him, still crying. Delaney untied Sydney as the killer walked upstairs into the house from the basement. Delaney ushered Sydney, out of the room, trying to avoid looking at Alec, who had lost his life so soon.
