'It'll be fine,' I said to Caleb before I leapt from the train. Nathan followed me quickly, and we jogged in silence back to the Merciless Mart.
Nathan checked his watch. 'It's only one.'
'We have to find Jack Kang,' I said.
The music was still pumping - the party hadn't finished. But Jack Lang wasn't in the Dining room - he probably had too many jobs to allow time for a drink, I thought.
Nathan and I ran through the corridors until we found an office with his name engraved on the sign that hung from the door.
My fist rapped on the door quickly, and Kang's voice said tiredly, 'come in!' From the other side of the door.
'Mr Kang,' I gasped, opening the door. 'The Erudite and Dauntless have attacked Abnegation. The Abnegation are hiding safely with the Amity, but we thought we should tell you, just in case. If something goes wrong with Amity, the Abnegation will need somewhere to stay, and they will come here. Candor is under no immediate threat from Erudite, but it's happening.' I finished lamely.
'Alright,' said Kang after a moment. 'Thank you for alerting me. How is it that you came across this information?'
'We went to get some fresh air, and we saw a train passing with some Abnegation on. And they told us,' Nathan explained.
'Very well,' said Kang. 'Well, you should get back to your party. You're officially members of Candor - you should be celebrating!'
'Thank you,' I said, before exiting the office. Nathan closed the door behind us.

Neither of us felt like going back to the party, but we were thirsty. So, we went in, just for a moment, and took one of the half-litre bottles of water that were left and two cups back upstairs to the apartment.
We weren't the only people who had gone back to our Apartment, but I think we were the only Initiates.
That was fine for us.
We sat on up the floor, flooding our bodies with water. I hadn't realised how thirst I was until then, and my head still hurt.
'What's going to happen now?' I said.
'I have no clue.'
After a few moments of silence, we changed into our nightclothes. I didn't mind changing in front of him now, after...
It felt like such a long time ago. The party, Chelsea, puking, myself and Nathan... You know. It felt like a distant lifetime.
'Nathan?' I said, once we were both dressed.
'Yeah?'
'Will you sleep up here, with me, tonight?'
'Course,' he said, and he climbed down from his bunk and into mine. He lay next to me, and we both fell asleep fairly quickly, lying the same way we had only a few hours ago, before we had run off.
