Chapter nine

"Now Poppy are you sure you want to do this?"

"Alex I need to record as much as I can so I have enough evidence to get Andrew out of jail and so we can clear his name."

"Ok.... just be careful ok..."

"I know it is risky wearing a wire but I also know how to hide it in my bra so let's just go inside."

When we got to a door a posh looking man stopped us.

"Name?"

"Alex Farne. This is my friend Poppy... she is with me today."

"Okay. Go on in."

I was surprised that even let me in.

"Wow they actually let me in."

"Yeah they they have to do everything a member of the club tells them to do."

"I should come here with you more often....... is that him over there."

"Yes that is Andrew Forbes....."

We walked over and when he saw Alex he looked weirdly surprised.

"Hey Alex didn't expect to see you here today..... who's that?" He said as he looked at me.

"This is my friend Poppy..... it's a shame about Beth isn't it."

"Yeah. She was pretty good in bed though."

"Dude that is just wrong..."

"Sorry but it's true.... she did get off with Gina's boyfriend once and then she rejected him.... she ended up dead a few days later."

"Who was Gina's boyfriend?"

"Frank Dartford......"

"She went out with him...... wow she has low standards."

"Yeah. Got to go tennis practise starts in ten."

As he walked away I whispered to Alex... "Well he for sure did not do it...."

"And we know that Gina was telling a lie."

"We have enough evidence to get Andrew out of Jail already but we need something more....if we find the killer then Chloe can come back home."

"Don't take things to far Poppy....."

"I do have some boundaries..... now we just have to find Gina...."

"Come on. She is probably in the Spa by now."

Do all the kids in school go here or is it just me?

Just like Alex said, Gina was in the spa getting her nails done.

"Gina...."

"What do you want now Poppy?"

"What you told me isn't true is it?"

"Of course it isn't....."

"Ok hurry up and meet us in the lobby or I will beat your ass!"

"Ok FINE! Give me five god damn minutes."

"Your getting four minutes and don't be late."

When we walked away Alex tried to make jokes which did not help at all.

"Wow when did you get so assertive?"

"When my best friend fled the city because she feared for her life."

"Sorry...."

"No it's fine.... let's go to the lobby."

We sat in the lobby for fifteen minutes before Gina bothered to show her face.
