Chapter Three: Where did she go?

Thor's POV:
"Thank you father for letting us visit Midgard for a week. It is greatly appreciated." I told him. I couldn't wait to see y/n and m/n.

"You are welcome. You are my sons after all." He replied.

We started off towards the gate and I asked Loki if he was exited.

"Of course I am. Who wouldn't be exited to go to a place where they are not respected because Midgard has almost no rules of hierarchy." He said sarcastically.

"Not for that, but to see y/n..." I teased. He had been upset after we left because we hadn't gotten to say goodbye. He felt really bad and we both missed her deeply. But we couldn't return because we weren't allowed to.

We have not known what has changed with y/n and her mother so we don't know what to expect. So we have come down to find them and explain why we left so abruptly.

When we got to the gate, Heimdall was already aware of the situation and sent us to Midgard as soon as we got there.

We got as close to there house as we could without having a giant bright light give us away. We landed in a field a block away from the house. So we walked toward the house to find it much different then it was before.

We walked up to the door and asked the lady who answered, if anyone by the name y/n or m/n lived there. She said no, but said that they were the previous owners. She started to tell us the history of the house and told us what happened.

"Apparently it was a horrible fire. Y/n wasn't in the house as she had gone to get ice cream. Her mother was asleep and didn't know about the fire until too late. Y/n had come home to her house in flames and firefighters spraying her house down." Said the lady.

"Do you know where y/n is now?" Loki asked worriedly.

"Yes. Since she had no one to take her in she was sent to the orphanage on (which ever street you choose). As far as I know she's been there for thirteen years." She says.

Wow. Thirteen years. I look over to Loki and his eyes are filled with worry. Oh I forgot, she'll be kicked out soon with nowhere to go. I stand up.

"We should get going miss. If we want to get to y/n before sundown." I said. Loki nodded his head in agreement. He was already out the door before I finished my sentence.

"Thank you for all your help."

"You're welcome"

1 hour later...
We found the orphanage and couldn't wait to see y/n again. We wanted to apologize to her for leaving so suddenly.

We knocked on the door and it opened to reveal an older lady.

"Are you here to adopt?" She asked. If I was drinking water I would have surely spit it out. Loki was coughing behind me.

"No actually, we knew a girl  that lives here and would like to speak to her." We requested.

"Well we have to have you sign some papers if you want visits or you have to have consent from the child." She said politely. I started to get impatient and flip out. Not as much as Loki though.

" SHE KNOWS WHO WE ARE. SO JUST TELL HER WE'RE HERE AND YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS." Loki yelled in anger.

We heard a crash and a bang upstairs, then a door slam, someone ran into a wall and as they ran down the stairs started to yell.

"I KNOW THAT VOICE ANYWHERE! LOKIIIIIIII!" It was y/n. And we saw her run down the stairs. She was almost in tears. Loki ran up to her and picked her up and swung her around. She started crying and was a bumbling mess.

"I-i thought you left me forever." She said into Loki's neck. She was wrapped around Loki like a koala so he couldn't leave. Her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck. Her face still stuck in his neck.

"We will always come back to you y/n." I said finally. She looked up and her eyes widened.

"You came back too Thor?" She questioned.

"Of course I would. I missed you, and we both know we can't leave Loki on his own. He uses brute force instead of talking." I said and laughed. She laughed too.

"You're right. But that's what makes him Loki." She says. I now realized the lady had left to give us privacy.

Since we were still in our armor she had decided to take off Loki's helmet to wear it. I was surprised by that because no one was allowed to touch his helmet. He just smiled at her. I was even more surprised that he smiled as he rarely smiles.

"I missed you." Loki said to her.

"I missed you too, Loki." She said back.

I sensed something there between them that wasn't there before.
